I don't buy into the relegation battle talk just yet, and in your eyes does that mean that West Ham/Palace are too involved in a relegation battle? We need 16 points from 18 games, and I think we will do it. Maybe just crossing that magic 40 point line with a couple of scrappy wins and a few draws, but I am not really thinking about relegation at the moment.
I am, our form is relegation material. If we don't turn it round we're going down. I don't see any signs of it turning round either.
Yes our form is terrible at the moment, but this is football, teams go through spells like this and I think that despite this team being bang average for a PL side, there is still some quality in it, good enough to beat the drop. I think that it is just people hitting the panic button atm with the talk about relegation. In 5 games time if we havent picked up a point/only picked up 1 or 2 then it would be time to start thinking about it imo.
So what are you trying to say? I said we beat top of the table Arsenal on Boxing Day so we can beat anyone ........and your saying we won't win another game?
We can also lose to anyone, and are losing a lot. Eight times in ten games. Maybe you like losing often. Me, Tom and certain others posters do not.
My point is we can't just turn up once in a blue moon. Just because we can beat someone doesn't mean we will. Apart from Villa, we are the worst side in the PL on form at the moment.
Bed wetters on here today......I have supported saints since the 80s and have witnessed many a relegation battle.....as it stands we are not in one,even the bookies agree (never met a poor one)... If things don't change in the next 6 games or so then I might feel different. And to say I like losing then? WTF??? You only seem to post on here when we are on a bad run...where do you post when we win? strange.
Tom I believe you are hitting the panic button too early, with a squad of our depth we will have peaks and troughs with form, apart from the 2nd half against Spurs we haven't been as bad as results suggest. Our problem is our 1st 11 is unavailable and those who have come in have been woeful in front of goal, it will come good again I am sure, Pelle will be back Wednesday big Fraz in the wings and hopefully Jay Rod will make an appearance soon.

We have a lot of injuries, a lot of bad luck and a lot of players with the potential of improving (Cedric, Romeu, Clasie) Be patient folks!
Absolutely. I wonder what this board would be like if we were facing relegation on the last day, like we seemed to every other season in the 90's? Hopefully we won't have to find out!
I have to be honest and say that I preferred supporting Saints, pre Internet. At least when your mates lost the plot, you could give them a talking to and sort them out.
