I wouldn't mind us getting him he did well for Hull and was a handful when he played against us. Major upgrade on Graham.

Just my opinion but I still think we need 3 more to help avoid the drop we need players who will fight.

    I would be happy with
    N'Doye
Another CB (maybe Samba if available didn't do so well at QPR but played great at Blackburn)
I will get **** for this one but Nolan could still do a job till the end if the season.

Kone's been left out of the Lorient squad again tonight. Looks like he'll be moving.

Tonny Trindade de Vilhena of Netherlands
Sunderland are interested in signing Feyenoord midfielder Tonny Vilhena, according to reports.

The Holland under-21 international recently refused to sign a new contract with the Eredivisie club, with manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst seemingly accepting he is on his way out.

“I have to respect his wishes not to sign a new contract,” he said.

Vilhena, who has just turned 21, was on the verge of signing for Southampton last season where he would have been reunited with Ronald Koeman, who gave him his first-team debut at Feyenoord.

The deal fell through, however, and other Premier League clubs are now hoping to secure his signature.

He has attracted the interest of West Ham and Bournemouth as well as Sunderland , according to the Daily Mirror.

The central midfielder has scored twice in ten appearances for Feyenoord this season, helping them to third place in the league behind Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.

Vilhena was in the headlines for the wrong reasons three days ago when he was involved in a training ground bust-up with team-mate Miquel Nelom.

Pictures show the two of them fighting with each other and being held apart by team-mates during a training session, after Vilhena reacted angrily to a tackle from Nelom.

Jan Kirchhoff is Sunderland’s only signing in the transfer window so far after the deal with Lorient defender Lamine Kone fell through last week.

    N'DOYE EXPECTED AT SUNDERLAND

Dame N'Doye is expected on Wearside for a medical ahead proposed loan move to Sunderland from Trabzonspor until end of season, Sky sources understand.

The former Hull City striker joined Trabzonspor for £2.2million last summer but he has failed to score since arriving in Turkey.

sources claim Lorient rejected offers from other Premier League clubs for the defender - clubs that have now moved on to other targets since Lorient and Sunderland's negotiations.

Lorient are understood to be unhappy with the way Sunderland handled the process and will meet with the Federation Francaise de Football (FFF) next week.

And it is understood Lorient are looking at all options, including taking legal action, because the player will miss three games as a result of his failed transfer.

A Sunderland spokesperson told Sky Sports News HQ: "We find talk of potential legal action to be ludicrous and would vigorously defend our position on this."

Judging by the way we handled Alvarez I wouldn't be surprised if we'd f****d this one up too.

Don't get why Lorient think we are obliged to take him even if we've agreed a fee. Personal terms still need to met and if this can't be agreed on - tough.

I think it's more like they're annoyed because of a lack of communication and that they feel we've strung them along and been unprofessional with our treatment of them. Not great if we go back to the French market at some point.

It won't necessarily mean jack-**** to another French club.

For all we know, Lorient may have a reputation for whining!

Most likely it will have no bearing on anything yeah but we don't exactly have players beating down the door to sign for us and if we get a reputation, even a very minor one, for dicking players about (Alvarez, Kone) then one thing's for sure it won't help us.

I think we might already have a reputation mate. The club management haven't exactly covered themselves in glory in the last 5 or 6 years.

****ing hell, no wonder when we're down we're really down. We've got our own fans sticking the boot in first chance. Lets all go and accuse AJ now without a shred of evidence while we're at it.

Same principal applies to the games at the SOL.

Said it before on another thread - people turn up just to complain. I'd rather sit in a stadium with 20k in it but we were all cheering on than a 50% split of whiners.

    Negative, negative, negative.

    Same here fella.

My faith is hanging by a thread but I know full well that booing and throwing abuse while the lads are playing can never ever be helpful. Those who do I can put in two categories. they either don't give an ounce of **** they profess to. Or they're really that thick that they can't see that their actions can never be a catalyst for improvement.

It's like screaming at someone to stop having a panic attack, all it's going to do is make it worse.

Assuming this is directed at me it's a bit harsh. I'm not one to stick the knife in to my own club I'm just making a minor point that we don't tend to come across well compared to other clubs with our transfer dealings.

We'll see what happens with Alvarez but it sure as hell looks like we are the ones in error. You can believe either way and it won't make a blind bit of difference to the outcome.

I have never booed the team or any player in a Sunderland shirt, even at the Villa game last season. As a supporter booing your own players will not make them better players and those who are good players are more likely to want away if the fans turn.

Diame N'Doye is at the AOL finalising his loan move.

Big Sam says this will probably be our last signing.

That will be us ****ed then. Thanks Ellis, thanks a ****ing lot. Spent **** all this season when we needed investment, which included letting Advocaat down.
