Why play 5 at the back? WHY?!

 

Not so much as I will have distanced myself and won't face a bus, ferry, bus, walk home in the rain.

 

It does to me. Especially the negative tactics. 5 defenders, Davis, Romeu and Clasie all playing. Why not play Reed and a back 4..

We played this same shape against Palace and lost to them only recently. He ditched the back three/five after 67 minutes. How ridiculously stubborn to play the same shape again in the very next meeting.

Negative manager that either has no memory or ridiculously stubborn. It's like he wants to prove he was right about the shape for Palace away.

I reckon Bertrand is out or ill or something. As it's a full strength team other than him being missing. It very much appears that Targett's only getting a chance because of a forced changed.

 

We did get destroyed by palace wingers with a 5 at the back formation to be fair. The trouble is the full backs are often caught out of position, leaving palace wingers 1v1 with our right and left centre backs

 

Gutted to not see Reed in there & would like Seager to get 30mins regardless of score. If they won't get a chance today then when will they?

 

5 at the back, Romeu , Davis and Clasie at home for Christ's sake. We're not playing against Barcelona.

 

I want Koeman out if we don't win today. Don't care that most on here love Koeman. He's taking the piss now. No Reed and 3/5 at the back again. 1 win in 9 games. Pathetic.

 

It's a cup game. You'd think the least we could do is set-up like we want to entertain our fans

So the manager does something different to what our beloved TinTin wants and it's pathetic. I'd say it's nit him being pathetic. It's absolutely fine to disagree with the selection, but please keep your toys in the pram.

 

Koeman certainly doesn't care about entertainment or blooding youth.

 

Let's wait and see how we play before getting annoyed shall we boys?

 

I definitely won't be watching the first half. I'll check in on the game at half time. I'm not watching this system play again after the dross it served up last time out against Palace.

I don't want us to lose to prove my point. I want us to win. But this is pathetic from Koeman no matter what happens in my view. He's basically hoping to win 1-0 against Palace at home in a cup match.

 

Toys definitely gone now.

 

I wouldn't go that far, just a bit gutted to not see the youth today. Though we might see Reed against Watford as I can't see Jordy playing 90 mins in both games

 

People can be annoyed with the selection but lets get behind the boys today. God knows they need it.
