I imagine that refs will only allow brief treatment, and for anything longer they'll have to go off. If they want to stay on they'll get a quick spray job and that's about it.
As someone said on a different thread, the back pass rule was a great rule change. The ones above are just tinkering.
If it's a red card the guilty team is down to ten and the victim team will have eleven after the player recovers or by substitution. If it's a yellow card if he has to leave the field of play why not send the offender off as well and he can return when the injured player recovers or is substituted.
"KICKOFF The current law says the ball must go forward at kickoff and players have to be in their own half. The rule is being changed to allow the ball to go in any direction at kickoff — as long as it moves." After reading the first entry..it's taken me 5 minutes to get off the floor in agony after rolling around in hysterical laughter. Every away team that gets to kick-off the first half is guaranteed an away point by not kicking the ball. Elleray must have become a lawyer in his second career...priceless simplification. Looking forward to reading the revised laws about time wasting.
They haven't put in big bold letters that penalties have to be given if a defender grabs an attacker in the penalty area.
