I just want to clear something up; it seems to me that we have Graham Carr as a scout (forward slash director of football and board member).......

Seems to be not only ridiculous, but also makes sense when you consider just how limited our scouting now is. Is this correct? I was under the apparently wild assumption that a Premier League club would employ a large number of scouts, full and part-time, to find players?

 

I guess they have never heard of Separation of Powers within NUFC...

 

I'd go with that. Austin, Townsend and I would also go for Remy on loan. Mercenary or not we need some quality in the side and he has it.

 

Well you can rule out all of them bar the highly overrated Townsend

Henri Saivet is booked into a Tyneside hotel with his agent #nufc yet to complete deal though.

 

I used to buy Saviet on FM years ago when he was classed as a winger - no idea what he is actually like!

 

Creative midfielder by all accounts, but isn't our midfield a tad overcrowded?
May signal a departure Tiote perhaps?
Who knows and possibly getting to the stage of who cares.

I think it's replacements again. Tiote gone, Gouffran gone, maybe Obertan, maybe Sissoko? It has to be. Either way we're lining up midfielder after midfielder when we can't score nor keep a clean sheet. Steve has literally just talked about 25 crosses being put in vs. Watford and what do his "football board" serve up? An injury-prone, low level French bloke who plays anywhere in the midfield, just nowhere particularly well. Why the fck we need to buy a Gouffran when we already own Gouffran is beyond any shred of comprehension.

 

We're not going to sign a striker. I can see this one coming a mile off.

The fact that every single one of those is a Graham Carr signing is the worrying thing. He's hardly likely to come out and say we need a striker as he'd be admitting failure. I really wish someone would poison his croissants or piss in his wine or something. The senile old **** is dragging this club down to the level of his beloved Northampton Town.

 

Haha, had a look on Transfermarkt for this bloke. They value him a £1.75m. Scores about once every 8 matches (in France). Actually has a far worse assists record, with one so far this season. The season before he played 16 times, suffered from both knee and hamstring injuries and scored.....none. No assists either. Awesome for a winger. I could understand if we'd bought him two years ago, with a solid record in 13/14 - P42, Scored 8, 6 assists. Season cut short again by injury, again in the leg.

Such a shambles. Such an unmitigated, incredible shambles. Go on, Henri, prove everyone wrong, but he comes with a slightly worse reputation than Yoan Gouffran did.

 

He's not a winger.

He's been deployed in a holding midfield role for ages now, he cuts out attacks, wins balls... physically stronger than what you have in that role at the minute. I think you guys will like him, he's a grafter.
