What's your speed fella in your package? Sounds like you could do with an upgrade for all those devices.

Well I get my internet free as part of my phone package & there's no limit on usage.
Not sure what the speed's supposed to be tbh with you.
I only use the internet for email, browsing & watching video but the bairn hammers it on his xbox.
Now I've got it sorted I'm happy again.

Are you rolling contract with your supplier or are you still in the set term? It's when you want to stream while the bairns on the xbox which is where you'll slow down. If the barins aren't actually playing online tell them to turn the xbox wifi off. I will be in the console's settings. dead easy to find.

Ring em and tell them to upgrade your speed for your loyalty or you'll **** off. They'll give you it. Then you can have what ever you want on.<laugh> Most basic broadband speeds are up to 38mb. I've just gone for upto 50mb. That should run all my devices while streaming.

Might be worth paying a few quid more and upgrading to fibre broadband Billy, that way you will have no problem watching vids and your lad playing on the Xbox. I've had fibre for a few months and my lad can play on his Xbox while the rest of us watch Netflix and/or go online on the laptop or Ipad. If you attach an Ethernet cable from your router to your laptop you will get better download speeds as well. You won't have as much 'buffer face'

Bugger, when did all this technology malarkey bollox start? We are like slaves to it :emoticon-0138-think

Even without an "upgrade" (to fibre/infinity/whatever they are calling it), standard phone line broadband will deliver up to 16-18Mb/s.

If you are only getting 3.68Mb/s it's worth calling them and asking what they can offer. Often it's just a case of them moving you onto a new contract (which can be cheaper) for a better download speed and absolutely nothing to change at your end.

    Nothing to loose.

Just checked my speed and it's only 1.8mbps and that's on fibre!

Think I need to check this out, especially as I use it for TV with talk talk and an android box for streams and movies.

Just hacked the web site and it talks about an average of 38mbps for my package as well!

Just say the typo above, wish I could hack their web site. Should say checked lol
