Good display from Macca. Worked hard and did the business, especially against Caroll. Might make Pearson re-think his selection process.

Still think we'll line up with Hobbs & Chester, if both fit.

    Weldone City today.

Still had a couple of wobbly moments though, but saying that very impressive and am pleased that he is proving himself

I think Hobbs and Chester will start, but its good to see that Macca looked reassured at the back and could do a job if called upon. Carroll and N'Gog are hardly bad opponents for him to play against either!

Wouldn't be Macca if he didn't have the odd iffy moment but he did the job. He ran around alot and covered alot of ground.

More of that and he'll deffo be in contention.

Macca IMO played one of his best games today in a city shirt.

Had a cracking game, made the likes of Carrol look average.

I'm not a big fan of Macca but credit where its due!

That tackle he did on N'Gog when he looked like he was through on goal was pretty good. Might have been a bit of a foul but he got away with it.

Never rated that N'Gog to be honest.

The main problem with Macca is his wages. Other than that he's a good player to have in the squad. Plenty of experience and still only 25.

He certainly did well, save for that moment of mingmongery that gave Downing the chance but Chester was even better, thought he looked superb and dealt with Caroll / Kuyt superbly

MOM FOR ME. Chester very close as well. If he keeps this up Jack Hobbs will be struggling to get a game. Who needs Gerrard anyway ? lol

Well played the lot of em.

I've just watched it back having recorded the game on lfctv. Thought the team was outstanding, McShane in particular could well have played himself into the starting 11. Outstanding. Simpson looks the real deal must start with Fryatt. Very impressed.

Now I'm no McShane knocker, always quite liked him. But before we all get carried away we need some perspective. Plus the speed deamon section never fails to make me laugh. Well played today Macca.
