    Third time this weekend.
I now have 8 figures, a tie fighter, Poe's x wing, die cast phasma, and a back story book to fill in the gap between episode 6 and 7.

It was just the same movie without the imagination of lucas

Too fast paced and too weak for my liking

    Liked the retro look only

I understood he recovered from the attempt on his life and went on to open a series of successful yet tastelessly cheap "sports" shops.

I found the film to be average at best. Plotholes you could drive a bus through. Poor character development and a SJW dream.

I was a bit disappointed by it when I got the chance to view it last weekend. I liked the stormtrooper story line, but the film became ****ing twilight-esque with all the teen angst. The oldies acted well, but the acting from the teens, especially the posh one (where did the posh accent come from in space FFS) they gave the lead to, was totally hammy.

It wasn't bad, at all, it's watchable and a decent romp, but it's too Disney kids for my liking.

Watched it in 3d last weekend. Left thoroughly disappointed.

    Joker summed it up perfectly:

To be fair to the film, I've seen a lot worse in 2015. Jupiter ****ing Ascending for one. That's why my lass is never allowed to pick again!

Saw The Revenant on Monday and it's probably an 8.5/10. Brutal in places, some good acting, slight pacing issues in places, but the landscapes and cinematography were epic. Go and see in the cinema; I don't think it'll have quite the same impact on the small screen.

Loved it mate. Fantastic story (I'm familar with the Hugh Glass tale anyway), cinematography was stunning, cast was great, none of this noble savage nonsense - horror on both sides, just an unbelievable film. Ten times better than this crock of PC **** Star Wars.

Open a film thread, dummies. This is for Star Wars.

I agree with JPF's summary above. I mean, the plot holes were gaping and the fact it was The New Hope v2.0 was pretty numbing. Some of the humour, which you'd expect from Abrams, was spot on - BB8's thumbs up was laugh out loud. But the Keira Knightley-wannabe was appalling. It needed someone gritty, not just someone with no t*ts. At least with a yank accent it's much of a muchness, whereas anyone British sounding plummy is just completely out of context. She needs period costume, not a light saber.

Some of the film was downright atrocious. The male lead can simply pick up a lightsaber and go toe to toe with the most powerful Sith (yeah, he's Sith, they're all fcking Sith - Sith has been around for thousands of years, it didn't "die out" overnight)?? He'd have been killed several times before he even turned it on. They find Luke's lightsaber is "in a box"?! When she's asked "how did it end up here", her answer is a convenient "I'll tell you another time". IT'S LUKE'S LIGHTSABER! There's be less fuss is someone just found Voldemort's wand in the bin.

What I did find hilarious was talking to a particularly thick workmate who loves Star Wars, who was utterly oblivious to the fact Ren was a Skywalker.

Yes, I feel your hatred, come to the darkside and hate this pile of PC bullshit.

Spot on about the 'chinny' Knightly style lead. Look we get it, you want a strong female lead who apparently knows Han Solos ship better than he does but picking up a lightsaber and dealing with a trainee Sith? Just repulsive bollocks that only a namby pampey, SJW deviant would love. The exact sort of **** who would hate a Peckinpah and Walter Hill film.
