Pep Guardiola says he did not extend his stay at Bayern Munich because he wanted to manage in the Premier League.

As a result this is going to be the biggest story of the early summer and coming months

Cheslea, City and Utd (and continuing half hearted Arsenal rumours) will all go all out for this guy.

The team he picks will have all the bragging rights and the others will be desperate to then either get out early and pretend they never wanted him or to pick up the pieces

This one will rumble on i bet.

    So who's the favourites?

    For me its City.

    Cheslea seem to want simeone.
Utd will want guardiola or mourinho

This, it was rumoured many months ago that city were trying to get him in the summer 2016. Long before Mourinho got sacked and the current pressure on van gaal.

I can't see Utd and Mourinho being a good fit. Unless they're so despondent they take someone who might bring them success regardless of the style* of football.

    *correct usage. <ok>

Guardiola doesn't do things on a whim. He's not turned his back on the offer of £17m a year from Bayern without already having a deal in place elsewhere.

He's now confirmed his destination is the PL. Look back at the stories about Messi to City etc from last summer (they didn't come from thin air), together with the fact they've got a Barca backroom going on there now. It's already a fait accompli, he's off to City. What a coup for them.

I think city should be heavy favorites yes.

but... it doesn't stop the other two form having to seriously say they were never interested as they will look weak.

Adidas has signalled they want better football to sell more shirts

Utd and mourinho are a perfect fit but.... mourinho's seriously dirtied his english bib... the FA will have to pretend he's jos's good twin brother Johse just like when remi in allo allo was supposedly shot by the nazis.

Cheslea will have to go all out for deigo simeone.

The eyebrow is going to Bayern

Maureen should go to United, but they're likely to give it to Giggs <laugh>

Chelsea wouldn't have the FSW back, the fans ****ing hated him

  16. Obviously, I don't think Rafa will go back to Chelsea. the only one of that quartet I thought would possibly happen is Guardiola, the rest was a piss take because of all the take of a manager merry-go-round.

I agree that Man utd will appoint Giggs once LVG's contract expires. there is no way Bayern will re-appoint LVG, that's as likely as Rafa going back to Chelsea <laugh>

I actually doubt the giggs stuff with United. I think they thought this van gaal stuff was going to instantly fix the thing and giggs would be taking over the champions at the end and it'd be amazing.

looking at the job now, and i know they have a plasticine CEO who knows shag all, well... poepel have to be thinking a massive job is on here for a whole new team.

I feel utd need to look above the manager now and once the summer is done LVG be told we are now hiring a sporting director. you've this one year like you said. you got your players.. but january on we do the buying this way. Utd have no structurs above LVG so giggs... oh dear. i can't see it.

Same for LFC BTW, irrespective of what klopp does in 3 or 5 years or whatever he will take his guys with him and we will be left going from stratch again...

Those two sentences seem contradictory to me, unless by "better" you mean more successful?
Surely Utd want a more fluid, attacking style of football than Jose will give them? As I said, if they're so desperate to win at any cost, then yes, but if they want a return to attractive entertaining football then ...Mourinho? Really?
