Not all, just most of it. It panders to one set of people with one particular agenda. Just as the mail pander to the opposite lot. Two sides of the same coin. Had you down as a Metro reader tbh.
Honestly Chief, didn't have you down as a Metro reader. Just the most pointless paper I could think of.
Mediocre or unproven managers who have been able to outsmart Van Gaal over the last year or so... Gus Poyet Karl Robinson Gary Monk (x3) Nigel Pearson Alan Irvine Paul Lambert Richard Money Sam Allardyce Steve McLaren Phillip Cocu (x2) Leonid Viktorovich Slutsky Aitor Karanka Slaven Bilic Dieter Hecking Eddie Howe Alex Neil Nigel Adkins Other than 1 or 2 possible exceptions, many also believe that the above names would probably get more out of Man United than LVG.
I have a feeling Sir Alex got "out smarted" by quite a few "un-proven" managers too. Fat Sam un-proven?
In his first year and half? After spending millions on close to 10 first team players? I think comparisons to Fergie are a little unfair... on LVG
Lots of talk in the papers of late suggesting Pochettino as a good fit for us. Although untested, he does get his teams to play some great football - plus we might be able to get Keane and Ali as part of the deal.
You horrible ****er ! I had a second of great excitement (the LVG leaving not the Maureen appt) then I saw the time of the post...
I gave him the benefit of the doubt last season because he stopped the slide. Then I thought in getting players like Martial he was going in the right direction. I thought he was being pragmatic in using the players he had in the best way possible. The turning point for me was the draw against PSV and the matches afterwards particulalry the home match against Norwich. The players were clueless but most damning of all was that it looked like they were playing with a ball chain attached to their ankles. To me the worst indictment is the feeling that this United team would play better even without a manager. Yes, pay him off and let the players play... like a pub team. Cannot be worse. We'll gte beaten but at least we'll have some exciting play. If the style improves, I'll be happy for him to stay. but I am not holding my breath.
LVG just now - "You can be very negative but we are in the next round," said Van Gaal. "We have won two matches in a row, out of a very bad period, so you have to be happy as a fan of Manchester United." Perhaps if he actually asked a fan or two ...........................
He's an interesting one, but is Tottenhams position in the top 4 currently, down to his good management or down to the fact ourselves and Chelsea are having a mare. Tottenhams points total this season isn't really any more than they've normally got at this stage, so I'm not convinced he is over achieving with them. I'm not saying he's doing a bad job, just that it's not anything overly special
Aslong as we're winning games then I'm happy, but I can see we won't win enough games with LVG playing the way he does. In regards Pochettino, we are not Spurs, it's a much tougher and higher pressured job managing us. He could do well, but I think it's a big gamble as he's still somewhat unproven at the top level, and that's where we aim to be
