Miraculously not many injuries in the Dubai hotel fire. Well done to the British guy who carried his disabled mother down 15 floors. He said, I packed only my valuables...my tablet, I-phone and mother<laugh>

Man some girl on Twitch is coursing a **** storm. She grabbed one of her cats by the neck and held it down against a chair as it basically meowed in pain trying to escape the video is kind of upsetting. But she is getting them taken down for copyright infringements.

I'd infringe her copyrights if I got hold of her (and I'm not even fond of cats). Why do people like this have pets?

I thought I'd lost my password and I couldn't do the jigsaw....with no instructions, I had no idea what to do. Luckily it was a blip and my password worked when I tried again. Be better to use those distorted word things.....and even then, some are so distorted, I have no idea.

Watched Sherlock and was happily awaiting a new series....when I read that the next series is in 2017!! One of the actresses was obviously pregnant and I wondered how they would work round it....shouldn't have worried, the kid will be at school before we see the next series. #pissedoff

I was expecting to see 'episode 1 of 3' or something but apparently it was a one off till next time! Also it was a weird combination of inception and hot fuzz

Yeah, I knew it was a one-off. Was a bit disappointed by it, to be honest. It was good, but not utterly brilliant.

Read an article recently that neither Cumberbatch or Freeman need Sherlock for their careers anymore. Nevertheless, they have both signed up to do a further three episodes series because they enjoy doing it so much. When this further series will occur is anyone's guess because it's a case of making sure all the principal actors are available.

The one actor who continues to baffle me is Rupert Graves. What he is doing playing third fiddle in a TV series is beyond me. He was going to be the next big thing 10-15 years ago.

Watched Philip Seymour Hoffman in Copote yesterday and thought it was very good indeed. Hoffman's performance was pretty damn good, but it reminded me that Toby Jones also played Truman Copote in Infamous the next year. I found out that the two films were almost identical stories, made at very similar times, and that the film company held over Infamous until the next year so as not to clash with the other film. I'd not got around to seeing either back in 2006, so I decided this evening to watch the later film to compare. All I can say is that it is far more engaging than the Hoffman version. Toby Jones is absolutely fantastic as Copote. I read somewhere that whereas Hoffman imitates Truman Copote, Toby Jones becomes him, and that's a good description. I also enjoyed the film a fair bit more. It seemed to have more depth and understanding about it. I'm fairly sure that if both films had come out at the same time it wouldn't have been Hoffman getting the Oscar. If you haven't seen either they are both very good, but that Toby Jones is utterly brilliant. I'd watch Infamous again whereas the other one I could live without. There's the difference for me.
