... whilst it would be somewhat hypocritical (indeed impossible) to wish that your football teams all give you what you most want in 2016 ... I will wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year with a reminder that, in the end, "it's only a game" ... We are off to a family New Year's party shortly which will be a bit of a milestone ... my middle daughter, who is 15, is not coming with us for the first time as she has a far better offer with her own age group... another reminder of how old I'm getting .. All the very best for 2016 lads and lasses...

I'm usually gigging NYE, but the band are on a sabbatical so it's a rare night off for me and I'm spending it with the missus and a bottle of Diplomatico Reserva (little un' is already tucked up in bed) I genuinely wish all the very best of health, happiness and prosperity for everybody on here for 2016.
