Good Morning, and Happy New Year Everyone, I cannot believe Cellino has been named the the New Years Honours list. WTF... Anywat, back to business. It's January. That means transfer time... Who are we going to lose, if anyone, and who's gonna come in? The transfer activity has started already. Brighton have signed Liam Ridgewell, Preston have re signed a manure keeper. We were promised early activilty, so let's see it. We are top of our League, WE ARE TOP OF OUR LEAGUE please log in to view this image Leeds have the best away record in the Championship. Thoughts? Who has been your player of the year in 2015? Most improved player? Vest goal?
Morning. Coming in lafferty, Cummings and briduttt... Going out Byram and cook. No improved player they are all rank average, hence our rank average points haul and league position.
Good morning to Matt and co and a very healthy one too Most improved player Beradi Players who are leaving Byram for certain and possibly Sloth Incoming Bridcutt Lafferty Cummings Interesting that Brighton have signed Ridgewell does that mean they have dropped out of signing Bridcutt I hope it does Very pleased that MC has been knighted he3 deserves it!
Morning Mike, and a healthy 2016 to you and yours too pal. Yes, I'd agree with Beradi. I forgot about Sloth. I was thinking the same about Ridgewell. They'll be a scramble for Bridcutt anyway, even if Brighton are looking elsewhere now. I think the deal for Bridcutt is only 6 weeks though.
Morning all, Byram is as good as gone and I agree Lafferty just isn't going to be good enough. Problem is no team are going to allow a prolific striker to leave in January? I think we should concentrate in other areas, a replacement for Byram, also Bridcutt if he doesn't stay and a CB
Morning all and a happy new year. I'm not going to specualte on transfers in either direction until they're in place and I van see the effects. Int thing I find interesting though, is Evans apparent ability to get improved performances from players. Byram, Bridcutt, Wootton, doukara, Silvestri are all performing better under him. So who knows what he may get from the likes of Lafferty a specially with his impending involvement in the euros. For first time in ages, I'm looking forward to seeing what the new year has in store for Leeds fans
He scores for fun for Ireland let Steve bring the best out of him especially at set pieces where we are woeful
Our delivery into the box will have to improve 100% Mike to create chances for him. Our corners and general crossing of the ball is very very poor
Don't think Cook is going anywhere,Byram will go and maybe Sloth on loan.Would like to see the Chelsea lad who has gone back from his Prem loan due to lack of game time,or Crouch. Both would score the goals we need to make a top 6 challenge.Interesting we are best away team in the championship, shows we are much better than some believe and has been a Manager problem or confidence at home thing. You're not consistently good away for 23 games without being a good side.Beradi is most improved although always thought he was good right from the word go,even Wootton is better than any gave him credit for including me and he is in the team on merit, since Evans arrived.
Morning and a Happy New Year to you all. Looking forward to bitching, griping and arguing with you all over the next 12 months
Evening all, A guid new year tae ane an' a'. I have absolutely no idea who'll sign for us, and whether they'll be any good. I put my faith in Evans for this. He's already said that it's not just about player skills - he's clearly on the ball by noting how difficult to is to play for a club like ours, and he's stated that he will not sign anyone else's 'bad apples'. That's half the battle. How much trouble have we signed before, or players that can't hack it at our club? Loads. At least he recognises what's required. Doesn't mean he'll get it 100% right, but he's streets ahead of other people who've signed up our players over the last decade or so. Leavers? For all the reasons mentioned before, I really hope we dont lose Byram. He'll be a huge loss. I would also be very surpised if we got anywhere near the sums being bandied about. £2m tops, I would think. Sloth would be my candidate for shipping out, either perm or on loan. The thing is, I don't know if anyone would want him! I'm not even sure if Evans fancies him or not, but a number of managers have now shunned him & his playing time stats suggest that he's been looking at the 'out' door for a while. We have quite a small squad, so I'm not convinced that anyone else will go - unless we get a silly money offer. Everyone is replaceable, but the most difficult player to replace would be Taylor IMO. Fingers crossed that its going to be a good year. Hey, just imagine we got promoted. Imagine the waiting list to visit Glory in the loony bin!
Happy New Year all, hope everyone had a good one. My head is still pounding. Byram a gonner reckon Glory might be right with Cook as well. I'm sure Cellino has prior for selling his clubs kids. We need a striker that scores goals we've had too many that are not consistent enough. I don't think Lafferty will be the answer but would love to be wrong as I think this deal is done.
Think he was waiting for a letter from crystal palace to hire him as chief scout. Howdo TC,been away for a while, seems all is the same on nere anyway.
