Who should be selecting new players in this window the scouting team that has turned up some real gems ? or CR? Or do we think that the tinkerman can see we have one of the best scouting teams in the business and just throw his thoughts into the melting pot as it were?
Im sure CR has his ideas, though i don't think this will stop the scouting network from doing their jobs. Kante was being hunted during Pearsons time, so he certainly isn't rejecting their opinions out of hand. If Inler and Benelouane were CRs signings, then leave it upto the scouting team
We are being strongly linked with, Pereira (young right back), Demerai Grey, Carillo, Anwar El Ghazi (talented young forward at Ajax) and also Dragovic the Austrian central defender for £16 million!!! ... would seem that Fuchs might be instrumental in persuading him to join us ...
There is also Santiago Arias - RB from PSG, Lovre Kalinić - GK from Hajduk Split and a couple of young Polish midfielders who's names I can't remember. Doubt it will be that much for Dragovic - Man Utd were close to signing him for £15M last Jan. Are we are not linked with Charlie Austin - who we bid £10M for in the summer - and that young Danish CB who couldn't get a work permit anymore?
Dragovic the Austrian central defender for £16 million!!! Wow gone are the days when we spent 3 here & 4 there. I´m happy that we are looking at the DEF.
A target man who can actually score - like Austin Ulloas style of play helps us but he is too wasteful I feel
Dragovic would be a real coup if we got him. I'm sure we will bring in a couple of new players in Jan to freshen things up. Let's see what happens. For the record I'm not concerned at all that we will lose any of our top players in Jan either.
surely if the scouting team are involved then the players tend to be under the radar and relatively unknown players and kept quiet for as long as possible.
.. not always .. Kante was being mooted all summer before we finally got him. .. I'll take 3 of similar quality please.
He can score - was our top scorer last season if you forgot, Is just that he is playing as a No 10 this season and being used to link up play and the chances that he is getting do not play to his strengths - he has great reactions when it comes to finishing off moves but when he has to run with the ball as the like, he fails more often then not. That is not Austin's position either - he is a No 9 like Vardy and I would see him as a replacement for Krameric more then anything.
He was hot and cold at Swansea if i remember, when he was on he was great as he knows where the goal is, but i don't remember him being consistent game after game. Hes a rich mans Beckford
Would be a good signing - from what I have seen of him, he has a lot of pace and is not afraid to chase down lost causes so would fit in with the way we play.
Whos's place would Gray take? Can only be Albrightons. What about if we had Austin to convert Albrighton's crosses? Austin with Vardy would be magic.
