Piss poor defensive organisation and a ****e keeper is the reason

As a team we're scoring goals for fun and Lukaku is having a superb season.

15 goals in 19 appearances in the league is an amazing return, but it's of little use if we're shipping poor goals.

I think this is very like Wigan for me. Martinez is not a defensive coach, I think he is a fair weather one though so once the ground hardens I think everton will go on a run for fa cup.

 

He needs to bring in someone to work with him on the defensive coaching. A specialist defensive coach who can drill the back line on set piece defending and general organisation.

There's little wrong with the rest of the side, our football is great and we're scoring bagfuls of goals.

Klopp has his lads for years... rafa had his lads before he fell out with him.

I think managers rarely add a guy after getting settled in unless forced.

How's big Duncan worked out for you... I can't think of a less threatening appointment.

Just like Rodgers appointing mcallister to his team.. all he was thinking was I ain't hiring hyppia to be the next manager.

 

When he appointed Dunc we were bleeding awful, playing that tiki taka walking pace ****e. Since then we've become a much more progressive side. Capable of retaining the ball, but with a level of directness that was lacking before his appt.

Ferguson changed his coaches regularly to ensure that staleness didn't become a factor, and also to embrace new tactical ideas.

Martinez merely needs to bring in a new defensive coach and change the ****ing goalkeeper. There's nothing wrong with the back line personnel, they just need to become a more cohesive unit.

It's patently not Martinez forte, whereas it was Moyes strong suit. So you play to your strengths and admit your weakness and adapt accordingly, it's called good management.
