Hell yeah, great result. Let's face it lads, the football isn't pretty but we are a good team. No more of this 'punching above our weight' bullshit and the like, we're doing well because we are good at what we do. Ipswich 'til I die.
A lot of positives tonight. We are four points clear of 7th, we picked up a clean sheet away at Brighton, and we're looking like a well-organised side with, dare I say it, a bit of flair! It's a brilliant result, another I didn't expect, and another sign of progress. I'm still keeping my feet on the ground and bear in mind we've got little less than half this season left to play, yet we're among the contenders and hopefully we'll be in with a shout of promotion come May. This side is really surprising me recently. I still hope Evans can get out his chequebook in January and provide MM with a couple of signings, should the main man require them. All in all, looking like another promising season, lads. What a change this is from the guff served up from the Keane/Jewell years, eh? Up the Town!
Great post Nuggets. Though I'm not sure who we could 'realistically' sign. MM likes a certain type of player and won't compromise the unity in the squad by bringing in something different I wouldn't be surprised to see a loan signing or two... Probably in the same vein as Varney & Hunt just to add depth & experience
