I would love to see more of Emnes on the pitch, he's always a solid player, and considering that was his first game all season, he was very good, hope any new manager coming in plays him, he could well be very important to us gaining valuable points this season to stay up........... Please Huw can you cash in Go-miss and Shedvey in January, utter tripe the pair of them.........
Well happy with that point.Brave decision by Curtis to make 8 changes. He took in the physical and mental fatigue possibilities. Well done squad.
Now's a good time for everyone to read this thread from start to finish. There's a large humble pie waiting to be served - with large portions for some
Everyone raves about their crowd but a a couple of large flags swinging in the breeze and a dishevelled budgie flying across the pitch to me doesn't make for a good atmosphere .They only sing when they're winning
I have already said fair play, what he started did well, but offered absolutely zero going forward. Still think that game was winnable with the right side instead of just the point.
All you seen on this thread whitey was frustration after waiting so long for our last manager to be given the axe and waiting so long for the board to make up there mind about a new manager to be appointed , pure frustration . It pretty well came to a head with 8 changes for this game which was brave , to say the least. We came out the other end of this game pretty well and we're all thankful for that .
Why does anyone need to eat humble pie? Because a prediction was wrong? We've not been playing well and were very poor on Boxing Day. It was a good defensive performance but we still look a crap side and are still deep in the **** so let's save the humble pie jibes until we're out of it, eh?
Some feel the need to say something regarding this and I think it was a dig at me, I was totally frustrated at all the changes when we are as you say in **** and desperate for points and see what is sitting on the bench, It was a good point, but it could well have been 3 if we had started some of the benchers. So if my rants over what I saw as a poor starting side means I have to eat this so called humble pie then so be it, if it makes someone feel better then I will do it I still believe it was wrong.
Meh. It's all about opinions and you're as entitled to yours as anyone else TLF. It was a curious starting 11 to say the least, particularly against a team vying for Europe. It worked out in the end but largely due to Fabianski and a stellar display from Williams that was well overdue. We could have nicked it but a draw was fair I think.
Yesterday was all about Fab and Williams , everyone played a minor part but these two guys were awesome , Williams the whole game , Fab when he needed to be . Bodes well for future games with these two playing back to their potential
Fair play to Pardew when he wryly acknowledged how well Williams had played. It's rare for opposing managers to do that. for Alan Pardew.
He also mentioned both keepers and basically said he was bricking it when Siggy had his free kick, he stated he knew he would hit the target.
Pleasantly surprised by Barrow and may have to restructure my thoughts on him . I think I took my thoughts out on him while blaming him for Dyer's departure and he had nothing to do with it ...we all make our mistakes
I've liked him from day one but most seem to have disagreed with me here. A bit raw for sure and he tends to fade late-game but with a good coach he has all the makings of a top player imo. He's one of the few players we have who actually tries to create something. Sad but true.
