I would add another leader. Not even one who is expected to play every game bit a wise head who knows what's needed. Schweinsteiger is one bit he's alone and we all saw how we mossedbyhat sort of head in the side in recebt games. Our great sides were full of leaders and that's something we really lack right now. We have better attacking options than leader/captain options. Of course we also need some attackers too. Mane and Mahrez for me still. Easily attainable and won't cost the earth.
So you finally cottoned on. Guess Onwin this battle of bites One day someone might he able to challenge the king of bites, CFC - London's most likely to be relegated.
You have a definite shout with leaders, there is no natural captain out there. Mahrez is, for me, the best player in the league this season. Mane is very good but no world beater. I would like to see players like Lingard and Januzaj get an extended run in a confident winning team, they both have great ability but 2 games here and 3 games there in a struggling team will never lift them to the heights they could achieve.
UiR you are a stealth fisherman, in fact you are so good that most of the time only you know when you are fishing
Serious question now mate, whatbif you actually were. Let me clarify, I don't think you will but your 3 above with half the season gone. So its not entirely unrealistic. How would you see the future? Does Roman stay? In terms of players do they bail out or fight? Must be weird. Under Moyes we were never close to it but joked about how bad it might become. Are you worried? Or passive?
The chav fans have been saying they are in a false position. They are going to turn it round soon, aren't they? And they've been waiting. And waiting. The signs are there. The new manager is not going to stop the slide. What they don't realise is that they need wins. Draws are simply not good enough. What irony that they come here gloating after such a poor performance and result!
I don't deny we're in a scrap but I think at least 3 teams below us will drop more points. I don't see the urge to get 3 points today, as Hoddle said, we wont win the league or even get 4th place. If Roman left and we went back to being bang average? So what, I quite miss the pre- Roman days. A supporter is a supporter, no matter what happens. I keep hearing about this disasterous season, but I have known a lot worse than this.
It just shows that a change doesn't always work. Regardless of who is in charge they simply have to get their team to believe in themselves. Today we did, it was only a small step and we need to show it against Swansea and beyond but Chelsea didn't. They came for a draw. It's fair to point out that they had no striker but their mentality was weak from the off. Hazard looked like a spoilt brat. Compared with Rooney who put a real shift in compared with his recent performances. Again, its only a small step but a positive one. We need to start scoring though. Today wasn't about poor finishing though, we were simply unlucky. There's a difference between the two, comparing Matic awful shot to Mata's superb strike, its clear. That's was the story today. The stats show 2 shots on target but that doesn't tell the whole story. Mata and Martial hit the woodwork, we had 2 penalties not given, Herrera was somehow denied and Rooney missed a good chance (that was poor finishing tbf). That's 5 very good chances today. A big step up. Let's carry on like this and play with that attitude.
I am on record (somewhere on this board) during the Moyes season saying something similar. I actually said I was looking forward to each game hoping we would win instead of just expecting us to. I felt really good after wins that season no matter who we played and enjoyed the result rather than just thinking meh, I expected that.
Maybe, I just know that every point gained felt like a victory and not something we were entitled to.
Yeah he deserves a slap for that to be honest. If I hadn't seen it i'd a' been pissed! There's some things you don't joke about
