Well it is not a popularity contest and I for one am glad SB does not pander to those who do not know what he knows. Sam played up front last season you know, and he showed he can do the roll and score goals. Point made Steve. You can only make 3 subs, but if you know what you are doing you can change player roles. How do you keep players like Snodgrass and Huddlestone on the bench? If either of the 2 strikers on the bench had been bagging goals, then they would have been playing or brought on. At 2-0 you do not need to score more goals, you need to ensure you do not concede
The guy posting on their board is a lunatic and they seem to be laughing at him, no way Clucas ripped anybody a new arsehole today. I'm with Sterling, the next two results are key, if it goes to **** again then blindly backing Bruce is completely wrong. At the ground today the BRUCE chants were not ringing out as loudly as usual, noticeably less than a month ago
We definitely need to back up today's result with points and performances against Preston and the Dramas. It'll feel back to square one otherwise but hopefully we can get the points we need. 4 points would be a great return but no reason why we can't get 6.
The management might have finally found a winning formula today and if they follow that up against those two then I will get back on board the Brucey Bouncy Castle, as it stands today was very impressive in the end. The only nitpicking I would do is that they still havent addressed Odubajo's nervy start to games, he nearly gifted them a goal straight from a corner to us which would have been criminal, it was only a brilliant intervention from Robertson that saved us early doors
Just goes to show that they (and pretty much every other league club) have fans a lot like ours, ****in' muppets, down in the dumps when they get beat, high as a kite when they win - the modern football fan, the ''I want it now generation?'' I've **** 'em!
So we win the next 2 & you're back on board, but then if we struggle against Cardiff, Charlton & Fulham, you'll be back off? We need to be behind SB all the way, it's the only way we can go.
Definitely steps in the right direction today. More like what we were in late October/early November. But, one swallow doesn't make a summer as they say and the next few games need to build some momentum or else today's result will be a false dawn.

Enjoyed that after the previous weeks fare......looked like we were against 'Boro et al...simple things for me, players in their best positions, the winning partnerships (Robbo/Sam...Olibaj/Elmo....Meyler/Livermore) and a front two with pace and muscle and no little skill. Big Harry is becoming more and more impressive for me, still has his one WTF moment every game for fun tho, he's like the bastard child of Pete Skipper and Richard Jobson....
its true we are quiet.i would not have joined them if they put that effort into the leeds and Rotherham games.so you tell me.why didnt they
We actually looked like a cohesive team today for only the second time this season, despite lacking any sort of cutting edge til we scored the first. That seemed to fire both teams up and we started playing some good stuff. Clucas looked much better in his brief spell up front than he ever has. All the screeching about Andre Gray was uncalled for. He's scored a lot of goals yes, but he would not fit in our team at all and I doubt he'll ever cut it a level above. He's fast and a work horse but that's about it. He's not a technically good footballer, in fact his touch is worse than Jelavic's, and after seeing him in the flesh for the first time he's not particularly clever either with his movement, which you can't really see on the telly. He missed that sitter but he can't be judged on that, as he can obviously put them away when he gets the chances, the leading scorers chart is evidence of that. He wouldn't get the chances in our team though as we never get the ball behind the defence. He'd spend half the season out with whiplash after spending 90 minutes watching the ball sail over his head from one side to the other.
I didn't see the 2 games you mention, but today they let us play, they didn't come to defend unlike Derby, Bristol City & Reading, the bits of highlights I saw from Leeds & Rotherham were mistakes by Odubajo & Robbo, don't know about the rest of the game, but SB & quite a few people have said we had enough chances to win the 2 games. Same as today, if Harry's back pass to Gray had gone in, we might be hearing more of the Bruce outers!
I was on here saying they should give Clucas a run up front last week and lo and behold they did, another plus point for Bruce from me
Why because we won a game? You expecting fans opinions to be changed on the back of a win? But why fly in the face of common sense eh?
Our aim this season should be to win every game. Obviously that isn't realistic but we shouldn't be saying any individual draw is a great result.
If a better side beats you there's not much you can do. However if you beat yourselves through bad tactics and preparation like against Derby, and some other times the past year and more, that isn't acceptable. Why should it be? Bruce has been given a free pass by some at times, who are actually the muppets?
