Hang on a minute. Surely this helps us doesn`t it? An extra day? After all we`re the ones doing all the travelling. Agreed it maybe could have been sorted sooner but still... (yes, I know I`m being awkward )
Yep but they don't have to 1132miles that week(that's 16 hours on the road alone traveling at 70ph with no hold ups), we barely have time train the way it's broken up. Move the game so Swansea don't feel fatigued while we have to go into the fixture unconditioned and a full weeks schedule to rearrange just because our opponents have accepted a tv invitation. Nah, they want to be on the telly they should accept the fixture change instead of trying to disrupt a priority competition imo.
But this gives us an extra day to train? The whole problem is the cup draw away in between two away games but that's nobody's fault is it? Maybe the league should avoid any club having two away games either side of round 3? Just seems unfortunate to me, no more
Which means by moving the game we only have 63 hours to prepare for our match with Spurs with at least 13 hour of travel.
We get extra time to train for the Swansea game but less time for the spurs game. Like my last post says it gives us 63 hours respite with 13 hours travel Between the Swansea game and spurs game by moving the fixture back a game. It's not right.
Think people are forget this is the middle game of three, by moving it back we may get extra time till the Swansea game but less time till the spurs game.
Only going by the rule when teams play in Europe on Thurs evenings and their games automatically take place on Sundays. Would be surprised if we went to Swansea by road, or possibly stay down south for the whole week.
Do you at least see we've been ****ed over? After Swansea play us they don't play again till Monday, We've got Spurs lunch time Saturday,
You've been making some strong arguments Bri. What stopped the club making the same arguments? There's usually 2 or 3 sides to an issue. Why didn't our club say no? Weren't they allowed to by the rules? By tv?
Money always talks louder and has the final say. It's not right, wrong, fair or malign. But it's Joe Public who always seems to pick up the tab. In this case, it's an un-influential PL club's fans bearing the brunt of motorway miles.
Nah don't believe that fella. It's not like our game is being moved for tv. It's wrong. I won't be swayed on this one like, my opinion is set. We're being given less time to prepare for an important game in a bread and butter competition So that Swansea have their cake and eat it. The Premier League should have told them the fixture dates stand, if that's inconvenient reject the TV coverage and play your cup tie on Saturday. It's bollocks. I'll let it drop now, I've aired my feelings on it.
Could be any reason from numerous conspiracies. We'll never know. Nowt as unethical and backhanded as the modern world.
