i think that the biggest mistake the male QPR fans have made so fa (myself included) is not trying to pull Bernie's daughters. That way, we would hae at least been able to nag our father-in-law to invest his our beloved team.

However, on a more serious note IF the Mittals DID purchase QPR, then I would imagine they wuld be looking to increase the size of the ground and possbly purchase the Beeb site. Maybe the arabs are looking to purchse tha site as well?

always looking at this thread with interest

Well I agree we see no evidence of this from Ecclestone or Briatore, but I've equally heard nothing about long term investment from the Mittal camp. But like the man in the orthopedic shoes, I'm willing to stand corrected.

Amazing thread this, driven by a couple of star performances.

The first by CernyBerny, the man who can maintain the interest of over 2,000 'views' with a no more than a few words speculative 'inside' news; and our Eamon (very good piece written back there by the way) who seems more frustrated by our blinkered support for the Mittals and fickle reactions to non-news, than he is by Ecclestone's muted and short-termist governance of our club.

Not a criticism of either contributor, simply an appreciation of the sparks that ignited and reignited an excellent thread.

Sshhh... is that the sound of a takeover being completed at last? False alarm, sorry, just a passing car!

As most of us are hoping this to be true, then bernie (cash) & flavio (tango) do go then the club might be in a better position to compete in the premier league. Welcome back cernyberny. I read some of your articles on 606 and thought that you made some good points.

I thought for a second cernyberny had returned.

When we get relegated next year, and sold for £5 in 2013 - I'm expecting him to turn up and say - "see, I said we were being sold!"

    Cerny, welcome back.

Hope you are right about the takeover, however, these things do take time and I am hoping this is all done before the season starts

The thing that makes me think this could be true is the lack of information, when B & F took over we were given so much information about the project, interviews on the web, TV, Radio all giving details of the plans for the future. When were future plans last mentioned by anyone from the club ? It all points to the fact that they have no plans other than selling.

What we do need are owners who share a vision with the fans, communicate with us and share our ambitions. B & F have lost interest in football, if they ever had any and only want to find a way out with more money than they started. If they do manage this then they will be in a small group of owners who leave with more than they started.

There should be no doubts that they are looking to sell as they have publically stated that and have an agent running the deal for them. The Mittal business makes no sense whatesoever however. He could pay triple the initial offer he made with his pocket change so why would he team up with some (undefined) Arabs to finance the deal? All these people are playing a game of whose got the biggest business d*ck with our club.

Yeah, but why did the Mittals team up with the Goons to start with? If they did that, they'll do this - and none of us will quite understand why...

I say halt the thread and move on. We now know it's way off the mark based on Cerny's opening comments. Start again Cerny when you 'know' more!
