Can't be any worse than Fer, especially if we can offload him for more. Don't think he's the right sort though. Lower league on the up would be better than an established comfortable player on the down trying to get up. Been there done that, it didn't work last time.
Not overly excited, one of those players who can look world class one game & anonymous the next 10 & to me not worth £4.25 million + it's up front we're lacking most, if Charlie's not around then we have little end product.
A good player but not what we need at all. Also makes no sense from a manager insistent on playing a pressing game so I'd imagine it's bollocks.
What sort of signal does this give to the 275 midfielders already under contract? Who is JFH so unhappy with that he is looking for a replacement already?
Underwhelming and hopefully pure media bollocks. Since the club got owners with deep pockets, each successive manager has accumulated players in the manner of a supermarket sweep - the media appear yet to cotton on to the fact that we're now skint. If this deal did go through it would be a serious red flag warning as to the character of the new manager. He's supposed to be all about development of young talent and building a team for the future - Huddlestone, though only 28, is on the way down... ex-England, ex-Premier League and on the way to becoming ex-Hull City.
absolute crap purchase if we go through with this hes overpriced hes useless, and we need top buy strikers not midfield players this has got les ferdinand written all over it,our squad is already strong enough in the midfield department i was hoping we would buy jay simpson for one million
If he's worth £4m sitting on bench every week and his contracts up in the summer then what's Charlie worth. Anymore than £1.5m is too much and this would only make sense if someone bought Sandro At a lower price would be a great signing
Hopfully Transfer fever will hit and we can get over 10m for Austin or the club gets him to sign a very strong 1 year extension on 80,000 grand a week
More like media bollocks all over it than Les, what's the point in digging out Les for an article in the fing daily mirror which makes no mention of Les at all?
Is that player who refused to cut his hair until he scored a goal and as a result looked like the old lunatic in the hole in the desert from Life of Brian by the time he had hit the back of the net.
In Ted's defence... No, sorry, I've got nothing. PLAY JET YOU ****ING ****S. ramsey out YOU FERDINAND PUPPET. WARNOCK WOULD HAVE WON THE EUROPEAN CUP AND CURES AIDS BY NOW
