It wouldn't surprise me if the current " in front of the cameras " team came across . Jenny Gow deserves a chance , fed up of " Look at me SUZI " !

Go back to bikes woman .

Channel 4 is promising, particularly the lack of in-race adverts.

In terms of what to do, more focus on the sport than gossip and ****-stirring. I really got fed up of "Ooh Lewis, Nico says your mum's fat, what have you got to say in reply?". More technical pieces would be nice, and I never really saw what the BBC got out of those highly expensive films where Coulthard or similar drove old cars round Silverstone, and went on about how wonderful, loud, powerful, etc they are. We know, and if we didn't we can watch old races.

I know, ask Mr. Brundle about that. On a more detailed note I hope the BBC team get drafted across, I hold no criticism against any of them. They are straight to the point and present good spectrum of analysis and features across all the drivers and teams. Their interview techniques were non-biased (Lee Mckenzie, Tom Clarkson and Jennie Gow) in particular. On a lighter note it would be sad to lose the banter between DC and EJ. C4 have a great template to use, lets hope they know what general public want rather than one particular fan group desires.

I am suprised Sky hasn't been warned against it's lovey dovey relationship with Mercedes. I am also shocked that none of the Sky team in particular are bored of talking about the same **** every weekend. They must be raking in some big bucks to be carrying on like that. Hopefully their days are numbered. Can almost compare it to 1930's Nazi propaganda.

I wouldn't be fussed if DC didn't continue on C4. I didn't think he brought much in fact he was a bit boring. James Allen should be there target lead commentator. God hope this is the last we hear of Andrew Benson too!

Will C4 be going to show all the races live or just some?

Just found out that back in August Channel 4 bought a minority stake in the sports production company part-owned by BT presenter Jake Humphrey and former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard. Whisper Films, set up in 2010 with former BBC Sport producer Sunil Patel, has made programmes for brands related to Formula 1 including Red Bull and Shell, as well as for the BBC and IT.

I believe that Sunil Patel was a producer when the BBC won it's awards for F1 broadcasting. So there seems like some evidence that C4 have been thinking of F1 for a while. Maybe Jake + DC will be presenting F1 on C4 with Sunil Patel as producer?

Something we don't really see in F1 is presenting from a studio. I guess Jake could do that alongside his BT role. Otherwise I don't think he's available. Would still need a substantial team at the track as F1 lends itself to that sort of presentation.

If Jake was involved it would definitely be from a studio, I believe his main reason for giving up F1 was to spend more time with a young family. I've always found coverage of Formula E, etc somewhat lacking where they have a pitlane reporter and then an anchor plus pundits in a faraway studio.

I remember ITV doing it a few times when they had F1 and it wasn't the same. It lacked the atmosphere. Tony Jardine in a studio.. just imagine the fun.....

I really don't like the BBC.

Willing to spend our money on things like Strictly Come Ice Skating, the North-South Jog and The One Show whilst covering up *****philes and spewing the government line.

However, it does seem like F1 has reached a stage where it is simply not worth the money which you have to pay for broadcasting amongst many other things from race tickets right through to staging a race.

This is another example of how F1 has been milked dry by Bernie and is massively wobbling.

The future is not good for F1 atm.

It has become massively stale and totally money orientated.

OK so not strictly F1 but might shed some light on presenters for 2016. Just read reports that German racing driver Sabine Schmitz and motoring journalist Chris Harris will be joining the Top Gear panel. Also joining the panel is former Formula One star David Coulthard!

So will DC have time for Top Gear and F1 on C4? Did DC know his job presenting F1 was about to go? Not that I think he needs the money by any stretch of the imagination but he might like to keep busy.

Hadn't heard of Chris Harris before, so I've watched a lot of his stuff this evening, and I can't believe I'd never come across him. Really impressed with his car reviews. The combination has certainly increased my interest in the new show.

So its Whisper films who will have a lot to do with coverage, and it seems like Coulthard will be on screen. Humphrey co-owns Whisper, and could contractually present, but is that confirmed yet?
