What would he have been like if we'd gone up in 71? I think he would have still scored lots with us. However, we wouldn't have lasted because the defence wasn't good enough.
He's actually still on a one year rolling deal and he's a very wealthy bloke, money won't play a significant factor in anything he decides to do.
Far more likely to be incentivised that if he jumps ship, at least he'll have his pal Loius Van Gaal to play golf with at on The Algarve once he's got the chop
After Saturday, and another game were midfield was a problem due to the opposition playing 5 in there, should Brucey seriously consider reverting to 3-5-2?
We haven't got three fit centre backs and playing people out of position is likely to make things even worse.
I agree with your statement OLM and personally I can't wait for the window in January where I sincerely hope that there will be comings and goings suffice to create a well-balanced team because this team is way out of balance at the moment.
Nothing could be more worse then last Saturday! I presume Junior won't make this week this week then?
I wouldn't mind Tom at CB. The issue with 352 is the likes of Snodgrass and Maloney who don't fit into it.
I haven't got a clue what's going on off the field with city, all I know is that we are fast approaching a difficult period (Christmas/new year games/ transfer window) one thing I'm convince about is that were about to lose some off our squad in the window (Hudd, Davies, and Elmo.) and to be honest I wont lose any sleep over their departure, I suspect SB/AA are aware off there impending departure, SB has started going on about the window and losing players in it, once again to Burnsy, several weeks before it opens. To be honest I hope the 3 mentioned players do go, because I feel mentally they left the club long ago.
I thought the Rotherham stadium was quite decent. Looked bigger on the outside than when in the ground itself. The exit strategy by South Yorkshire Police was ****ing ridiculous. They made you walk completely the wrong direction if you were parked in Westgate to avoid meeting Rotherham fans - only to meet them 5 minutes later when police presence was close to zero. Amateurs.
It's all smoke and mirrors Pudsey, a get out for Steve Bruce, other managers seem to manage those transfer windows without feeling the need to harp on about them to the media. I can hear Steve Bruce now, 'I don't want to make excuses but...'
As I said in another post LBA, I think the novelty off city has or is starting to wear off on SB and I can see a retreat to his villa in Portugal for SB, to count his hard earned millions coming, he has the air off a man who feels " what the **** I'm I doing here" .
We can only hope that, if it happens, that it happens before another painful transfer window is in full swing.
Feel that we may have reached the crossroad with SB on boxing day lose to Burnley and that could just be the straw that broke the camels back(no pun intended) regards city's fans, because the one thing we crave more than beating the tws is to put on a display against this lot, pissed off with Burnley getting one over on us.
I parked less than 5 minutes from the ground and had no restrictions on the way in. Leaving the ground it took me over 30 minutes to get to my car having to pass a shed load of riot police and home supporters on the way. Not sure what the policing strategy was but it pissed me off.
