If Leicester were to win the PL it would be a shot in the arm for all of us 'smaller' clubs and prove that with the right team spirit and work ethic anything is possible. Not only that, the media would hate it as it would deprive one of the 'big' clubs and their fecking plastic fans a CL place.
I wouldn't rule this out, after no wins in 6 and getting unceremoniously dumped out of the champions league last week! http://www.90min.com/posts/2807347-jose-mourinho-would-love-to-manage-manchester-united?a_aid=35393
JLF, I'm a bit bewildered by your user name? Jack Lester I remember well from his long spell at Grimsby Town (I recall him scoring against Norwich ) but he never played for your team Leicester City from what I can ascertain? Am I missing something here?
Ironically, I think he may most of his appearances for Nottingham Forest! Nothing more than my name being Jack, and me being a Leicester fan

What a strange game. Half time against Everton we were lucky to be in the same league. 7 days on, came back to draw against the Toffees and now win at Man Utd and no fluke either. What will happen at Tottenham?
That's why football is so fascinating. We go to a team that has conceded one all season and score two in half an hour. I see that AN is now second favourite manager to part company with his club after LVG. Probably for different reasons despite what KIO says.
Presumably to be nicked. Only KIO would want to sack him after a win at OT. I loved the second goal..that's how I used to score mine!
I never said I wanted him sacked now, I said IF results didn't improve then we shouldn't rule out dispensing with his services as it is imperative we retain Premier League status. However I admit that I did say I didn't think he was going to turn things around. Mind you, one swallow and all that ............ Oh and I also said that I hoped I was wrong
I love the fact that the odds for the next manager to leave include the "next Aston Villa manager" shortly behind Garde

Oh ok, so you now love AN and think we will stay up? I wrote a perfect reply. and when I pressed send, it vanished.
I think what's happened over the last few seasons is every team in the league has tried to play the "Spanish" way with lots of short passing and a focus on possession. It's a nice idea but the reason Spain and Barca were so good is because they had the likes of Iniesta and Xavi, and the later had Messi! They can pass teams to death and unlock stubborn defences. Most other teams, especially in England, simply don't have that quality. The quality the English leagues DO have is lots of effort, high pressing and pacey forwards. Finally some of the teams in the Prem have realised that and they are cutting out the possession based game and instead going for actually trying to score goals! And it's working a treat! I really like it to be honest. Always been the style I prefer. It's also why I think the England National team have failed so much in the last 10-15 years. They no longer play to the strengths of the team (Pace out wide, strikers who can hold up and score goals, midfielders who can press and pick out decent through balls), rather they have tried to copy the style of the moment in a vain hope of being as good as Spain, or Germany or whoever last won a major competition, missing the whole point that these teams are so good because they play to their strengths! I personally blame the media influence in this country who are always calling for this that and the other from both the clubs and country.
