they came on to the pitch looking beaten before a ball was kicked ,the body language spoke volumes ,looking like a cat coming out of a carrier after a visit to the vets ,i thought a couple of them were going to go back up the tunnel, wheres the spring in the step, they should relish games like this instead of looking like rabbits in the headlights

Was defo on the cards after the chosen one was sacked. Yes they were good But we were awful, defending for 1st goal was shocking, Ivanovic Didn,t really get challenged .
Showed more of what we can do in 2nd half, had them wobbling for a spell, more clinical and we,d have rally made them sweat. midfield of Toivonen & Rodwell clearly not good enough, no pace, little movement, 1CB, 2AM,s desperately needed, Catts & M,Vila can make up the rest.Beats me how we thrash balls upfield when the 2 front players we use need the ball in front of them, no great Fletcher fan but horses for courses, should have been him & Defoe

when I say looked like that I was referring to our team not Chelsea it hardly filled me with any confidence to see them come on to the pitch

If Toivonen starts next game, I think I'll be taking a trip to the training ground to have words with Sam :headbang:

Sadly I'll remember having to clout a lad who thought he could push his face in mine and scream about me not having a Sunderland accent.

If you're on this board son you probably wont think again that having half a dozen mates, backing you up, is a guarantee of having the upper hand.

Spoilt my day you cock sniffer ....... thankfully the stewards had been watching you working your ticket.

Are you kidding me? What an absolute cock!

That would have been half of the away support then, I've got a strong Geordie accent myself. Shame that someone like that has put a dampener on the day.

What was the atmosphere like from us, yesterday?

Surprisingly good mate, from start to finish ........ we even cheered them off and the players all came over.

Kaboul gave his shirt to some kid.

This particular lad was shouting at the top of his voice, about a dozen times, about the people around him.

The bloke next to me, with his wife, runs the Herts branch and another was broad Cockney who lives in Chelsea and follows the Lads 'cos of his dad.

I was applauded by quite a few people so I don't feel so bad although that's the 3rd Sunderland lad I've had to clout in over 40 years.

It's never nice but I won't have my support called into question because of my accent.

The stewards made him move to the lower tier I think.

To be fair one of his mates shook my hand and apologised.

Yeah only because he'd got a shock when you slapped his mate. If he was that concerned why didn't he stop his mate in the first place instead of standing behind him?

Because they thought they'd have no problems in numbers, I hate people like that.

Well, good on ya for sorting him out Smug. I can't stand that sort of bollocks. His 'mates' should have done the job for you earlier.

Every club had it's share of arseholes. Unfortunately you met one of ours at the weekend.

That's true mate ......... one woman was begging them to get him away from me before the inevitable.

I was sitting pretty as I was on the very back row so couldn't be attacked from behind.

Comm & Billy know how much better you feel if you have the high ground with your back covered <ok>
