I agree, he has to take some of the blame for the signings in the summer. Whether he can turn this mess around is another question, so far it's not looking good and lets be honest if Swansea can sack Monk why can't we sack RK and it's not like there isn't any top class managers available waiting in the wings!
Didn't even do that this summer, heh...sold a player for 25m and only bought one 10m player in van Dijk, plus Clasie and a bunch of 3-5m signings. I'm not yet afraid that we'll get relegated this year. I'm very concerned that we'll continue this policy in the summer and will be in serious danger next season, however.
Yeah, I'd kinda like to try that as well. But I mean, it kind of doesn't matter right now. It's not like we're losing because of some kind of tactical issue. We're giving up cheap goals because players are making stupid mistakes.
Davis off for Long. Good move as SD has had a horrid game today. Come on now Juanmi, let's see what you have. A goal for us and it could still get interesting.
Give juanami a go. We're not getting anything from this game so may as well give him some game time. Edit- long on. C'mon shane
I'm not having a pop at all, but I can only imagine you've missed all the interceptions and tackles he's made today. Not saying he's been great, but he's been one of our better performers.
Going to be honest and say that if I was the manager I'd be really tempted to play Reed and Wanyama DM's with Ramirez as a number 10 in front, Mane right and Tadic left. Pelle up top. I know Ramirez and Reed appear to be out the fold completely for Koeman, but just saying. It has zero chance of happening of course with Koeman as manager. My back four would probably be Bertrand, Yoshida, Fonte, Soares for the next one. Gazzaniga in goal. For Koeman since Ramirez and Reed are out the equation I'd like to see Yoshida in for VVD, Romeu for Clasie. Clasie in front of the DM's that some have mentioned isn't a bad idea. I'd prefer Romeu over Davis as a DM next to Wanyama. Yoshida in for Fonte or VVD.
Nothing is happening. We have not threatened Tottenham at all teams have it so easy defending against us at the moment
Leicester lead again...could be several points clear if they win and Arsenal/City their match on draw on Monday.
It's not uncommon for players to take longer than half a season to become good plus whilst I agree the signings haven't been great they do have potential. Koeman made excellent signings last year from an even worse position, people are very quick to forget that. I don't think for a second with Koeman here we'll be in a relegation battle.
I'm not really commenting on his individual performance really, just the impact of his running and fitness on our overall defensive shape. He's not the right player for that role in our system, especially when he's not st full fitness. Koeman's fault.
