According to Sky, only Wigan have ever made top 6 when 10th or lower in January. Not saying we can, will, won't make it, just a statistic to watch for
Totally agree, as would most, he was the difference which helped turn the tide for us. Good decision by Evans to play Byram instead of slowit Mowett, and did the right thing in bringing Duke on for Adeyemi who looked like he wasn't feeling the best. I would've brought Ant on for Wood at half time, and even more so as soon as we got our third to help punch home the advantage and keep the momentum going. Wood missed another sitter and we saw that maybe 4-4-2 is our best formation. The formation changed after Duke come on and we played much better after that. We had nothing when Redders was always playing a lone striker, we had nothing when Rosler did same; Hull game aside, we seem to have better performances, and look more dangerous up front with 2 strikers. What we need is for Evans to realise Wood is a none paying passenger. The commentator, Baird, cracked me up with "Wood gets himself into positions, but positions to miss" Great win for us.
Let's hope so, though for now I'm just enjoying a great and no one could argue (bit of fate tempting there) a fully deserved one
The close up replay showed he didn't, but the player was already virtually on ground when the angle showed Bellusci's boot looked, and I say looked like he may have made contact, but after the player went to ground. I'd contest it....
Evening all, good win tonight. Tried our best to throw it away in the end though. As Ll said 442 definitely works better for us. Could do with keeping Byram although by sounds of his interview for sky don't think it's likely, he pretty much side stepped the question on staying at Leeds. Thought Dallas had a good game. Wood is not a striker need a better finisher than him if we want a chance of pushing on.
I too was waiting for his reply after the question, as you said, he side stepped the question very well, but you never know if we go on a good run.
