it's now on the official website too. proper classy for a world cup winner to have laid a dig into a youth team player.

Made all the worse diarra has been at fault for a goal in each of the 2 matches before Leeds.

Watching the highlights Diarra was more to blame than Lennon. He was sleeping when young Heskey nipped in behind him.

I said at the time Diarra was to blame for leaving it.
I have always understood it that apart from natural ability as a pro footballer you need anticipation above everything else, Strikers need to expect the defender to make the mistake, and defenders need to expect their fellow defenders to make mistakes.
Yes Lennon missed the header, but Diarra didn't exactly cover it in case Lennon had missed it.

Diarra is not a natural CB and has already played a lot of games this season aged 34. Another example of the squad that Fraeye has said is already 'good enough'. Lennon has been one of the few positives in a dire season. I would put Lennon and Bauer together in central defence, move Diarra into the stopping role in midfield, and drop Cousins, who is flagging big time.

Bauer needs to learn some discipline quickly, two needless red cards already & we have no back up for him.

Fraeye's comment about our squad being good enough really will go down as one of the all time classics.
