    1. Chelsea are relegated and won the Champion's league.
    2. Leicester wins the league.
3 Manchester United finished outside the top four.
    Consequences???.

    1. They would be in champions league next season whilst competing in the 2nd tier in England. We'll all have a good laugh about the latter.

    2. Cool. I'll be excited for them. It Would most likely be a one off though.

    3. This isn't very far fetched. I think they will finish outside top 4. LVG will get the sack. Rodgers will be their next manager.

  3. Interesting debate on the TalkSport poll tonight...

What's more likely, Leicester winning the league or Chelsea being relegated?

    Leicester winning the league.

Everyone is dropping points. If Leicester keep their heads during January xfer window there is a small but feasible chance Leicester could win.

As much as joking about Chelsea getting relegated is fun... It simply won't happen.

  5. Neither will happen, both are possibly but highly unlikely. I'd prefer both to happen.

Leicester just need to match those behind them.... Chelsea have to do even worse than they currently are so I'd say the former is much more likely.

Leicester has earned their points. Its been more than just lucky results. A large part of their success might be confidence and inertia though.

That said : one of their dynamic duo gets injured and it is game over. The other thing is the other leaders are crap and dropping points.

    For Leicester to win:
    A) big teams need to continue to be poor.
    B) they need to remain relatively injury free.
    C) they need to resist too much selling.

Its unlikely... but I think people are dismissing Leicester based on other small teams riding high before Xmas on a huge wave of luck (and hard work) and then luck running out.

I think Leicester have more of a chance than many give them credit but much less chance than City or Arse of course. It's not just luck that got them top though.

Chelsea could not play cl if they are in championship. I think there are rules now about this due to Cardiff, Wigan etc.

Leicester wins league = historic and their best players will still leave for double the money and they will end up midtable. Oh and ranI [email protected] will get manager of the year as a consequence.

Man Utd outside top 4 = no big deal. So much money sloshing round. They will continue to spend

In our good year we saw city win 10 in a row and 11 in a row.

This year with respect to Leicester their total is not actually that high and not one side has gone on a good run.

    That's the reality check.

They have 35. It's great after 16 games but that can be said to translate into 83 points if they keep going all year.

83 can win it but 90 is a top team target and the top teams have been ****e.

I am confident they won't get 83 but if you think about it they will need to have a big collapse to fail to get 70 so I think they can take a cl spot from here.... but it requires a lot of form to continue

    Chelsea won't get relegated.

Leicester won't win the league. Test coming up for them with a few big names to play now.

Would totes love both to happen, would be boss as, but it's not gonna.

Utd however. Can see them ending up 5/6th. They're utter gash. Just a keeper and 10 mugs per game really.

Is that the Chavs' new striker?

Like everyone else, I don't see either thing happening. It would be great for the league for Leicester to win it, but it'll get increasingly tough for them and I think they'll fall away.
To finish in the top 4 would be a great achievement, regardless.
Chelsea will sort themselves out sooner or later- there's too much quality in that side to go down. It's fun watching them squirm though. :)
To finish in the top 4 would be a bloody miracle.

Leicester will have to survive the tough last half a dozen matches when everyone is scrambling for even a point. I can see them in the top 5 or 6. Arsenal must surely be favourites as their away form is as good as their home one. City reliant on Kompany and Toure. If both out they are in trouble but still in top 2. So it leaves 2 places up for grabs. I think we should be in there together with the mancs, Leicester, Spurs.

The mancs is 50-50 IMO to finish top 4. But I agree with MITO. They will lose the prestige but their income and expenditure will be relatively unaffected.

Chelsea's situation is so weird. They will get rid of Jose today and they'll recover somewhat with a new manager. They'll probably squeeze in top 6 (just) but no chance of winning the CL. And no chnace of being relegated unless they keep Jose. In which case I see their players playing for draws or for a narrow defeat in the remaining games.

As I said leicester have 35points after 16 games.

last year chelsea had 39 points and finished on 87 points
the year before Arsenal had 35 points... city won it with 86 points and arsnela ended on 79 points
then before that utd had 42 points and finished on 89 points...

there HAS to come a time when a team goes on a run here. the question is will it be leicester? thats the real question.

the worst points tally for a title was 80 for utd in 2010/11 i nthe past 10 years.... we could see that leve this year again (4th was 68 points) this was repeated, again by utd in 200/01 with 80 points to win it.

The fact is theres a lot of dropped points this year and we could see 80-84 points as champions.

That would require leicester to get 45-50 points from 24 games and they've run on that kind of poinst tally so yes they can do it.

But.. theres 5 sides that can also do it.

I would say that another example for us to bear in mind is the 5/6 teams who've been up in top 4 around now who've ended up imploding in second half.

B is the big one for them, they have good players in the squad, that Kante in midfield is brilliant but if they lose Vardy or Mahrez they do lose that edge.

I just hope they are **** when we play them.
