I'll get this running so we can start to chat about how many goals we're going to score, but if anyone more profesional want's to come and add something more intelligent, please feel free to do so. For my part, I have'nt felt like this before a game since the Presto home match, and while we are actually not playing as badly as we were a couple of weeks ago, I think we may sleep walk into this one and Boltom will come and win 2-0. added to that, we appear to have real fitness issues, which really make you wonder what is going on behind the scenes at Sparrows Lane, and we need to address that very fast.
I'm hoping the youth's enthusiasm will see us through this game, though agree it does have an air of Preston about it. One concern will be the fitness of JJ and Solly, who I think need to be restricted to 1 game a week (not that we are exactly spoilt with depth). If(!) we don't win, then those that are refusing to believe we are in a relegation scrap will have to finally concede. I'm torn between a 1-0 win for us and a 3-0 win. Vaz Te, Lookman and Reza to do some damage me thinks.
Difficult to see us winning. Diarra could struggle to play another 90 minutes already, which would mean a back 4 of Solly, Sarr, Lennon and TH-D. Jacko and Cousins didn't get any sort of hold in midfield, and JBG is having a poor season, with defenders finding it easy to neutralise him by keeping him on his right foot. Jacko is probably not ready for 90 minutes which will mean Ba coming into the team, so even if Lookman has a blinder it won't be enough. If Jacko and Diarra start we'll run out of steam, just like on Saturday.
I was writing one up during work. Date: Tuesday, 15th December 2015 Kick-Off: 7:45pm I'm not overly enthusiastically to be back in London for this bottom of the league six pointer which will be a certainly be cold and near empty Valley on Tuesday night, our last game before Christmas. My weekend faired better than the teams against Leeds United, according to the commentator on SkySports whom mentioned "that we were luck to get the point" after Tom Adeyemi late strike struck the post. It seems that our team was very much on the back foot for most of the game, after a bright opening minutes from the team with Ricardo Vaz Tê and Reza Ghoochannejhad threatening the Leeds goal early on. From Football League Show highlights it seems that these were the only times we threatened. The Opposition Bolton Wanderers take the long 250 mile trip to the Valley this Tuesday evening, in what will surely be a very poor six pointer game. Both teams are seemingly lacking confidence and ability to win games; Bolton Wanderers hampered by missed player payments and are staring administration in the face it is understandable that they are currently on poor form. There is fears from Neil Lennon that players will walk out and not play. Given a loss to us this Tuesday, we can expect to see Neil Lennon leave the club as they will be cut adrift at the bottom of the league. Current Form ** Statistics based on previous five league fixtures On the last five games at home our form has shouted relegation woes. We so far have only mustered one surprise win against a team in form, but have lost three times at 0 - 3 each. Our defence this season has been shocking, having conceded 3+ goals in a game seven times and have failed to score in four out of those five analysed matches. That said, Wanderers form is far worse than ours and have only managed to pick up one point on their travels in the previous five games, coming in a goalless draw against Preston North End. Head-To-Head The last match that I really enjoyed against Bolton Wanderers was the 3 - 2 win back in March 2013, prior to the Roland Duchâtelet, where a Charlton team found themselves 0 - 2 down after twenty minutes, but won a hard fought battle to get us back in the game. A red card to both Sam Ricketts and Craig Davies saw us get the three points in the end. Since that game there has been three draws over the course of the season and one win. Club Updates: From The Young Jordan Cousins Team Lineup We still are hampered by the suspension of Patrick Bauer and other than the current list of absentees, we have no fresh injury concerns. Given the clean sheet against a Leeds United team, I doubt that Karl Fraeye will change much in his line up, with Vaz Tê and Ghoochannejhad leading the attack and Morgan Fox replacing the young Tariq Holmes-Dennis: please log in to view this image We may see some of the other youngsters dropped given two games in such a short period of time. Odds Prediction: Sky Sports It's going to be a high pressure game involving two sides at the wrong end of the table... It will be tension-filled. Bolton haven't won since early September but they've been knocking at the door of late. They've only lost their last three games by the odd goal. Neil Lennon could make the difference in this game. Charlton are just too defensively naive. They defend like MK Dons defended against Ipswich - allowing attacking players to get in behind far too easily. Bolton will just have enough. (0 - 1 Bolton)
I don't think we're going to win. We've not been good enough at all, and Bolton might edge it. Like Sky says, his [Fraeye] naivety is costing us quite a few games
I hope we lose 6-0, with Dorian Dervite scoring a hat trick, including one that ricochets in off his arse. That way the crowd v Wolves will drop by another 500, cranking up the financial pressure on Pinnochio. As for me, as they say in the Dragons Den, "I'm Out"
Tomorrow will be our lowest crowd, no away support to inflate the figures. The actual crowd will probably be closer to 8,000 than 10,000.
I can't want my team to lose. I don't agree with what is happening at the Club but I still want us to win.
I can't want Charlton to lose either. An analogy in comparison I'd make is that the pot is still simmering - the heats still there but removed from boiling point. We have to win this. There will be more protests over the season, but first and foremost we need points.
If it goes pair shaped then surely that's it for the interim one his position would be untennable...or would anywhere else. I think we will win 2 or 3 0 and everything in the garden will be rosey. Another 3 0 defeat at Burnley will bring us back down to earth tho.
No, I don't expect him to. After all, we played very well against Brighton in the first half. Roland was well pleased. Mind you I wouldn't bet on it!
As each managerial appointment has been better than the last according to Liar Liar KM ..how could we part company with Mr Fraeye surely no manager on earth better than him. Though maybe somewhere on a park touch line north of Brussels last Sunday screaming orders to his charges is that man. Could the sprout and Tintin be looking for a new manager after tonight
I'd be astonished if Fox was reinstated for THD THD was a real positive for me on Saturday, the chance he created for Reza when slaloming between the 2 Leeds players we would never ever see from Fox in a billion years THD and Lookman linked up well for the main part too
Just met Jamie Redknapp, had a chat. Pretty much Sky lot reckon Bolton are going to win, as are many bookies I've been visiting. That's got to suck!
I was going to end the conversation "make sure you don't injure yourself on the way!" But thought that it won't go down too well, considering he was an incredibly pleasant fellow.
Certainly don't want a defeat for us, though a win will cement the apathy into the ranks of the fans. As FHB said, he's well sorted anyway as we played a good 45 minutes at Brighton, so I doubt a defeat would take the shine off that performance...... Still feel Bolton are going to show more guts than us tonight.
