Orlando will be the real test for them , was there a few summers ago and even without a heatwave like this year , it's incredibly hot.

Pardew made the heat an excuse for the 0-0 result in the last game and that it made the players heavy legged. Now I'd love to hear the next excuse if we draw or worse in the next game.

It was hot in Kansas but that's generally a dry heat.

Orlando will be very, very humid; expect something in the region of about 80/85% humidity this time of year.

That first breath of heated humid air as you leave the airport is a killer.

It's hard playing in any warm countrys in the middle of summer. I went on a post season tour of valencia with my club last year and that was bad enough, i actually really feel for them as floridas probably worse especially with a heat wave.

I was in Hong Kong a while back.

Left Brussels and it was 2 degrees C with snow. Landed in HK at 7am, walked outside and it was over 80% humidity and 34 degrees C.

    I had a winter coat on <wah>

I went to singapore and bail in may and they were the most humid places ive ever been. i got off the plane and almost choked, it was like first walking into a sauna. the hottest place i'd been prior to that was turkey!

Yeah but they aren't complaining about it. Its just the facts. Its hard to understand that kind of humidity if you have never experienced it before and I cant begin to imagine what 90 minutes of running about in it would be like.

Im sure they are loving the trip tho!

I'm going to Florida soon and complain when it gets to about 15 degrees 30/35% humidity in the UK so I think I'll prepare with some sauna sessions :p

That wouldn't surprise me - Kansas is land locked and dry heat, I would expect the sea to slightly cool florida.
A couple of years ago I went to Arizona and Nevada, including Death Valley and Las Vages. The temperature when we got to the hoover dam? 127 degees farenheight (57 degrees celcius). To put that into perspective, I've been in saunas where it doesn't go over 110. You were covered in a film of sweat the whole time, even though it was dry heat, and you literally couldn't walk more than about 300m without having to find shelter - thank god for car aircon!

Don't blame him. Imagine sprinting around for 90 minutes in that sort of heat with barely a handful of water breaks. It would have without a doubt effected the players quite substantially.
