Very good there Exile. The "Friday" song in my mind was actually Joe Jackson's Friday but JJ Cale is fine.

The track had a fantastic base line - here's a live version of Joe doing his thing at the back end of the punk era.

 

JJ Cale was responsible for a number of big songs, usually made famous by someone else.

Didn't realise Clapton covered so many of JJ Cale's songs.

Got a number of JJ Cale albums. Some good stuff. A prolific writer.
