The only absentee I don't agree with is tadic. But I can see why he played 3 cb and 2 dm. We have shipped goals lately and he had to do something. It didn't work.

Well, I though that in addition to Gazza, Bertrand, Davis, Tadic, Romeu and Big Vic had decent games. You may not agree completely, but I thought they were far from ****.

EDIT: Apologies for being reasonable and even-tempered.

    Oh, I forgot, Keoman out!

I'm off for a bit; this is too depressing.

I don't think it's an overreaction at all. We just bypass our midfield and hoof it for some reason. That reason is lack of mobility and options in midfield. So is it down to fitness, or lack of quality? Wanyama couldn't pass wind at the moment. We have no leadership in the middle of the park. I would honestly drop wanyama at this point.

Romeu's tame effort wasn't exactly a clear chance. Just a shot outside the box, on target fair enough but hardly a chance like Long or Davis'. And I forgot Davis header. That's still only 2. In an entire football match. Teams seem to comfortably do that in 2 minutes against at the moment.

Last time we looked lost like this Harrison Reed burst onto the scene and changed our fortunes. Maybe it's time to give him a chance to inject some energy, and determination, into the side?

I'd probably give this ago in the next winnable game:

    Gaz/Stek
    Cedric Fonte vvd Bertrand
    Romeu Clasie
    Davis
    Mane pelle tadic

Although I'd keep vic instead of Clasie for Arsenal and Spurs

Does look again like striker isn't our primary need...it's a central attacking mid with a bit of a creative streak. When the central options in any given build-up are Wanyama, Romeu and Davis, it's somewhat unlikely that a moment of magic will result in a good chance.

And dare I say it, it might be worth giving Ramirez a go. Despite his contract running out soon. At least have him on the bench for goodness sake considering his wages.

If not (and these two players are out of the equation completely) then please play this next time Ronald:

    --------------Pelle
    --------------Mane
    -Tadic-------------------Davis
    ------Romeu-Wanyama
    -Bertrand-VVD-Fonte-Cedric
    ----------Gazzaniga--------

Beginning to think this might be our only option pre-window. Ive always thought he was a bit lightweight to play DM but lets be honest it can't get too much worse. (keeps fingers crossed).

At least Gazzaniga showed why I kept faith in him.

Not really harsh. Not just on that miss, the guy just doesn't score ever. If we want someone to just run around we should have signed Paula Radcliffe!
