I want a fluid team witch is not static and a team with great skill. I don't believe we will sign a top midfielder so I won't bother including an X for top player in the line up.

    ........Rooney Berbatov
    Young Anderson Carrick Nani
    Evra......Vidic....Smalling..Rafael
    .................De Gea

I have chosen Young and Nani because they can both interchange which gives us much more fluidity. Valencia is a bit too static for my liking and a fluid team is always a better team. Also Rooney can swap with them as Young can also play in a central role and Nani has played in a central role for Portugal before. Therefore, our team is fluid and interchanges well which makes for exciting football. I have included Berba because he is such an entertaining player and I enjoy watching players who entertain and have great skill. Watching Utd last season, showed that Anderson and Carrick played very well with each other and they formed a great partnership. I hope to see it again next season. Back 5 makes it self and I have chosen Rafa ahead of Fabio as I still believe he is the better twin in that position. Due to it being against lower league teams, we can't risk Rio. Smalling also played a fantastic part to our season last season and works well with Vidic.

Smalling or Jones ahead of Rio imo. We don't want Rio crocking himself in games we should be winning relatively comfortably.

Swarbs agree. Smalling though as I see him as a kind of like for like replacement. Works well with Vidic.

I agree, as it stands Smalling has already proven he can play very well alongside Vidic. The only thing I'd change about that team is Hernandez for Berbatov, as skillfull as Berbatov is he takes away from fluidity in a team, he is a more static player. A very good static player, but a static player all the same.

I disagree Dave. Hernandez is much more static. He can't dribble, his passing is poor and his crossing is poor and he only stays forward to score the goals. He rarely contributes to the play. Berba can dribble and can cross and has very good passing and always gets involved in the play and always drifts around. Just because he does not have pace, it does not make him static. He is not like a Heskey etc.

I agree with Dave on Hernandez over Berbatov. We need someone to sit up front and score goals and that is where Hernandez comes in as a focal point for the attack. The fluidity will come from the wings and from Rooney.

I also agree with Smalling over Ferdinand in the 'easier' games as Ferdinand should be saved for the bigger games as we don't want him injured for important games.

Given that we only dropped 2 points at home all season and that was only because of a couple of bad mistakes, I'm not sure there is much room for improvement.

It's our away form that's the concern.
