Great position to be in at HT, looking really dangerous going forward. We need to be careful not to concede as we're going to push for the second in the 2nd half, but what an exciting half to come !
Hopefully Olympiakos get tired in the second half, they really gave a lot during the first 25 minutes, and you could say they didn't have the same energy as the half wore on, so hopefully as the game wears on they lose their legs more. But they still look dangerous on the wings.
We aren't going to keep a clean sheet, especially if we carry on like this. and the way we are going (as people have said) we won't finish with 11 men unless we sort our defence/tackling out. But at least we scored and created chances after a shocking 1st 20mins
Walcott has been good too, opening up spaces and pulling defenders out of position. It's allowed Giroud to find some space in the box.
TBH there were times I was considering bringing Gibbs on instead of Walcott, Walcott was not doing enough defensively at the start of the half, we were too exposed too many times down the right.
Is ramsey injured? I missed the end of the half but lawro saying ramsey limped off the pitch at half time
I think Walcott has been shocking, worst player on the pitch. We've been much better since they switched flanks, but Flamini is being pulled out of position to cover for Theo. I do think we'll need to score 2 more to go through.
Don't think so, he got tackled as the half-time whistle went, so (hopefully) should be OK. ps that's probably him out for the season then.
