If Kristian O'Leary disappears and Clodet gets more vocal off the bench that would be a good thing. Doubt it'll happen.

It’s still all quiet from Swansea despite suggestions from inside the dressing room they wanted clarity one way or another about the situation.
Former long-serving player Alan Tate said last night he was also adamant it was time for the club and chairman Huw Jenkins to ‘back him or sack him’, Tate having been close to Monk throughout their Swansea careers.
Nevertheless, it’s understood Monk has again taken training at Fairwood as the build-up to Manchester City continues.
It has been suggested one of the delays on an announcement and confirmation of the decision we believe the board has already come to an agreement on is that they are unsure of not only who will succeed Monk but who could be put in temporary charge starting with Saturday’s trip to Manchester City.
Sky have begun to report that they believe current assistant manager Pep Clotet would be considered, although our understanding is Clotet would depart along with Monk if not before him.

We're being treated like mushrooms , kept in the dark and fed sh:t ...Jenkins is a fuking weasel.
I'm getting tired of never being allowed to knowiing anything about the club .
Word is Monk hasn't been axed because he can't find a replacement .
Monk should have been replaced after the Norwich game already , to not even have someone at the ready now just shows the mismanagement within the board these days .Jenkins has quietly turned into your basic dictator

According to Sky Jenkins says its not the manager but results must improve. We could have all told him that but is this a veiled criticism of the players. Surely it's not all down to Jenkins to make the decision the board must have the final say.

Considering how unpredictable the league is this year and Leicester are top with Wes Morgan and Huth, is it not possible that yourselves and Chelsea (who have 1 more point) will have a storming second half to the season with your current managers in charge?

Shame for Monk that next game is against City away, as odds on you will get thumped.

I hope he stays on as Swansea manager, but even as someone that rates the guy, its looking highly unlikely.

Jenkins probably had no intention of sacking Monk , and that's fine .
But be accountable to the most important people at any club , the fans .
The circumstances and manner in which Laudrup was axed , compared to the circumstance and manner that Monk isn't being axed is an absolute joke .
Jenkins earned his OBE up till sacking Laudrup's agent , the only award he's earned since is "The Fickled Finger of Fate Award " , doesn't take much imagination to figure out what finger that is mounted on the trophy .

    http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ned-as-huw-jenkins-mulls-over-managers-future

Any truth in the relationship between players/manager is strained? as only a few weeks back WIlliams said this

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34894355

Managers can have a good relationship with players, even if results are negative or his management is being questioned by fans, so who is this "source" ? that Sky Sports News HQ claim to have spoken to.

If Monk takes any more winless games, it will get very uncomfortable for the team and coaching staff next home game, I cannot for the life of me see Monk taking the game at Citeh, Huw may have been to London to collect his OBE, but for goodness sake, doesn't Martin Morgan or any of the other directors have any backbone, to take care of proceedings? ..............<ok>

UPDATE: MONK HAS GONE, ON THE BBC WEBSITE.

I thought it was highly unlikely he would stay after the City game. However, with news of his sacking, its a shame its come to this, as I remember your board at the start of the season, talk of Monk being on a mission for top 6 and no one predicted this run of form.

    Pep?

    Pep too?

It's absolutely imperative that anyone given the job is a) the right man going forward or b) a stop gap to keep us up and then the right man recruited in the summer. This is a great opportunity to get us back on track and must be given very careful consideration - if it hasn't already.
