I think the reason match tickets are so expensive is because it encourages people to buy season tickets

Yeh it's not a problem for me as I have a season ticket, but it's looking very likely I'll be there on my own for almost all of them. That's the problem with plastics, you can't attract too many of them at these prices!

In one way it good that plastics get charged alot, teaches them for not being down the King Power every game

And before people say yes i do understand some people cant afford it because of work or just strapped for cash

Yeh but that's the thing, plastics aren't bothered, so it doesn't teach them a lesson, they'll just not go. It's in the club's, and the real fans' best interest to get as many people down to the ground as possible. I know I will be disappointed if we are near the top of the league but get lower attendances than we should. I think the people it does effect are those who are strapped for cash, can't afford a season ticket but want to go to as many games as they can.

I'm absolutely broke at the moment. Just finished Uni and looking for a job but have spent well over £2000 following City in recent years, and I am waiting on a job before buying a season ticket. It doesn't look like I will be able to buy match tickets in the meantime.... So think who you call "plastics".:headbang:

Nobody is calling you a plastic, yours is a situation we all have sympathy with. <ok> In fact I was in the same position before the 2009/10 season - luckily match tickets were cheaper under Holloway and in League 1.

As I've said, plastics are those who aren't bothered about mssing games, those who turn up to see us play Real Madrid only, and just because they want to see Ronaldo live, or those that are at a loose end and go for something to do because there's a pie and a pint offer.

Plastics are good time charlies. Only turn up to the big games and jump on the bandwagon when times are good and when times are bad they dont want to know and just slate the team

Part of the reason our average attendace was so high that year was because it was the first season at our new stadium, that drew people in and we was winning matches which also helped.

We average 23000 when Nigel was here and we finished in the play offs and 20000 when we won League 1

I only get to 5 or 6 games a season, but they aren't the "big games", its just i work alternate saturdays, been like that for me through the years, always try and make it for the first and last games of the season, and a few mid weekers.

    Mine was £130.

I just got a lecturer to write me a statement that I was continuing full time education.

Saved me about a hundred quid that bit of paper did!

Not so easy for some of us though. Sol the wall bamba works on saturdays, so thats out, And when we can attend, it's the best part of a 300 mile round trip. Not always a choice of whether to attend or not, sometimes (most times) it's just not practical or possible. Seeing those who've paid £130 for a season ticket, by the time I've bought two match day tickets, filled the car with diesel, bought the beers before the match, I've very nearly spent £130 for ONE match. Dont make me and Sol any less fans though.
