Thats right Double Ross is odds on for the Grand National 2016 on the exchange with £206 waiting to be matched! Can some one explain why someone would offer this as surely no one would match it!!! Not a sober or sane person!!

This happens on every new market initially. Just people hoping that some idiot makes a mistake and matches it:biggrin:

I think Ron had it right the first time - it was a simple typo for 120. Although it's a long way ahead, this market isn't completely illiquid. There's been about £70,000 traded, unlike those empty markets on the afternoon before a day's run of the mill stuff, where everything's 1.02 because it's the default figure in the programme.

It's now (20.30 GMT) been corrected to 110, which looks about right. These long-range markets, at least in my observation, aren't managed that closely at BF, and I guess the original mistake went unnoticed until a punter pointed it out. If I remember rightly (not guaranteed) when the bet figure was 1.2, the lay figure was still 260.

No good talking about people in their right minds, Wooly. The mere fact that there are humans out there, granted free will by a divine being, who elect to bet real money on a 36f handicap chase, four months ahead and before the weights are out, tells you that there is no hope for the future of the planet. And if Donald Trump becomes POTUS, that will decide it. Won't be able to post for a while - God rest ye merry, gentlemen, and a happy and prosperous New Year.

A lot of people use bots on betfair, so could be a bot error.
