Garry Monk was installed as Swansea City manager. His first game a 3-0 win.Remember it? We were all over him like a rash. He took us to our highest ever finish.Remember it? We were all over him like a rash. We beat Man Utd not long ago.Remember it? We were all over him like a rash. Garry Monk is Swansea through and through. You think he wants to see his beloved team in the position they are now? No! So back to us who were all over him like a rash. Since Saturday we are no better than ISIS baying for blood.Garry Monks blood.Shame on us,all of us. Garry you are better off without the rash. Whatever happens in the next few hours, days I wish you well and good fortune. And,thanks for the service and memories.
Got to tell you , I liked him a whole lot more when he was a player , but all the best to him whichever way it goes .
I like Garry Monk somewhat, but I like my club far more, thanks for the effort Garry, but it was too much too soon for you…………
Good fortune? He'll certainly get that. The rewards in football are enormous, with the rewards in the Premiership obscene. Fickle fans are part of football and dealing with their "input" is part of the deal. By his failure to be realistic (last week he said we're not in a relegation battle) and his persistence in repeating the same mistakes week in, week out for the last three months, he has alienated/frustrated/lost the support of most of the Clubs fans. In football it's almost universally accepted that you're six defeats away from the sack. One win in eleven is just as bad/worse and if I'm honest I would say he's been lucky to survive so long. Our fans have been pretty patient even though it's been obvious that we've been sliding down the table, playing sh.it football and heading for the relegation trap door. So, millionaire Gary Monk, thanks for last season, but this season has been a disaster for the Club. Let's hope there's time for the new manager to turn it around.
Rewards are high but so are the expectations. He fell short but walks away a multi millionaire - nice work if you can get it.
Unfortunately that doesn`t work these days. The players seem to hold sway, with their enormous wages. If they decide not to play for the manager or the manager decides to play stupid formations, there`s only going to be one outcome. Still, £500 thousand bonus & now perhaps £3 million as a payout, not bad for a year or so`s work, plus his enormous wages as well. The Sky money has certainly ruined the game as a spectator sport, with the win at all costs associated with it. That`s my opinion.
