If I'm honest there is a bit of Lawro in me (ooh er, missus!). I keep thinking the run has to come to an end, and I still can't quite bring myself to believe what this team could be capable of. But everything that gets put in front of us, we deal with in some style and keep getting the results. The pleasing thing today was not conceding an early second half goal and giving Swansea a way back into the match. I know they hit the woodwork, but we had also missed a couple of good chances to put the result beyond reasonable doubt. Yes, we've been fortunate with injuries so far. But we still have quality options on the bench that can step in. We couldn't actually....... Could we?
... but we haven't played the 'big teams' yet ... that would be Man City who have been done 4-1 twice and lost again at Stoke today and Chelsea who have just now lost at home to Bournemouth #Fearless
Leicester's bubble will bust soon and i expect Chelsea to finally get back on track so im going for a 1-0 away win Lawro's prediction for next week
Many will next week, unfortunately. Chelsea will probably come here and park the bus, like Manchester United did last week, and unfortunately that seemed to work. Some of the smaller teams we've faced have thought they could beat us at our own game but Mourinho's too sly to do that. However, there is a chance he could be out of a job by the time Chelsea roll in, just got to hope they don't get knocked out of the Champions League.
People keep saying we haven't played the top teams yet, but there is only Man City of the current top 6 that we haven't played...
... that type of comment, plus the '2 man team jibe' are quite frankly, laughable ... as this season has already demonstrated, any team CAN be beaten by any other ... if we lose to Chelsea it will not be down to them being one of the 'big 4' or 'big 6'... it will be because they beat us on the day ... West Ham have won away at Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool and got a creditable draw away at Man United ... we've beaten the Hammers twice this season when they were bang in form ... .. there are a lot of disgruntled 'experts' out there who need us to implode in order to recover any credibility ... let's hope we can keep comfounding them .. with this squad we will certainly not lie down easily in any game ...
The knob has only gone and predicted is to avoid defeat on Monday! Unfortunately that probably means we'll lose
True, he did generously give us a draw at home to the might Watford! I wonder when the last time he predicted us to win was, about 4 games in to the season?
Well done Lawro, we were supposed to go back to the top monday but you've ruined it! How the hell can he predict us to lose to Newcastle and draw with Chelsea!
Because he's an expert! He is either from the contrarian school of thought (which can prove successful in some areas of life), or he just hasn't been watching what we have been doing to teams. It's a fine line between being a genius and being a complete ar*e, and I'll let you decide which side of the line he is on.
.. a consistent factor in the negative / non complimentary stuff I've seen written about us is that it is rather obvious that the author hasn't actually bothered to watch us in person...
Mark Lawrenson is a ****ing idiot But our bubble is set to burst blah blah blah blah blah blah blah 2-0 Everton win for Lawro next week
Another 1-1 predicted by Lawro. He's only going to go and predict a win soon! Got to laugh at his comment about running out of superlatives. What like predicting us to lose every week Lawro?
