http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~2397391,00.html Perhaps they could muster us up a new CH,RB and LB!
RSG...Resource Solutions Group...that sounds and look good.. ....better than having a Waste Management Group or a Rubbish Collection Service shown all over your shirt..
'.better than having a Waste Management Group or a Rubbish Collection Service shown all over your shirt' We're gonna be cleaning up bigtime this season ! (part of me wishes I hadn't said that ! )
they got the solution guys ready to get a new manager in by xmas and solution to try and get maynard to sign his contract
Did we have a raffle for this new sponsor? And was it Steve Lansdowns company that won it? And if so, who made the draw? I'd be disappointed if it wasn't Syd Little.
With the on going issues or will Maynard sign I wonder if it could affect the sales of the shirt as would you buy a shirt with Maynards name on it when there is a chance he could be going
That's an important point Andy, but he has played in our superb win vs Cheltenham so it's valid and could become a collectors item. I might bail out of here soon, I'm half cut and when I looked at your post. I swear I was seeing double.
Keith Dawe. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/specials/rich_list/rich_list_2009/article6168072.ece
In case the above link does not work, here is an excerpt from the Sunday Times Rich List: 'Dawe, 58, is best known as a vice-chairman of Bristol City football club, but recruiting staff for the computer industry is his forte. He owns 89% of Resource Solutions Group, a computer recruitment operation, which made a £4m profit on £91.4m sales in the year to June 2008. That was after giving out directors’ pay of £1.9m. We value Dawe’s stake at nearly £27m, adding past salaries and other assets.' So City were unable to get a sponsor for their home kit and a director has stepped forward to fund sponsorship for this year. Really poor if a Championship club with Premier League aspirations cannot attract shirt sponsorship.
I doubt it's a matter of not being able to get sponsorships, but getting the best deal. All in all, given the exposure that the Championship gets regardless of how good our team is the advertising will pay for itself. To be honest I'm surprised that recruitment agencies are surviving in the world of IT. They've got an awful reputation and I can't remember the last time any decent job came past my eyes that didn't state "no agencies". I'd rather drag one of the preacher guys from the centre in to work as a developer than deal with a recruiter.
'To be honest I'm surprised that recruitment agencies are surviving in the world of IT.' Exactly...adds weight to the argument that City could not get a sponsor, so Dawe said, "Oh, OK, I'll do it." Somewhat devious don't you think that he has 'laid low' and not identified himself with the sponsorship ....or perhaps he got it for free....him being a director and all!
If he's a director, he is already putting finance in so its hardly free is it! plus you don't know the cost details. When you do this it just shows how badly hurt you were by your sponsorship fiasco, at least we didn't get companies to pay for a fixed raffle that they were never gonna win! (drawn by Eddie Large, with the winning ticket tucked in his wedding ring!)
Weak Banksy......although the raffle was amusing others have since copied the idea (e.g.Balloon Fiesta) and more than 50 companies wanted to be part of it. No details are available as to how RSG came to be chosen, and the amount involved has not been revealed ......and Dawes did not reveal his involvement. Most odd.
Weak, now that's ironic considering your argument here, We all know you cheated, and we all know that 49 companies wont get caught again, You can only cheat people once then never again! most odd.
Strange that banksy.....the raffle system is now established and each season companies take part. Now answer the question and tell me about Dawe getting the shirt sponsorship..and no Murdochian manoeuvres!
