With Bristol getting thumped there, would you question Garde le Victoire's form now, especially with Calipto getting humped yesterday too?! Spit and polish that Arkle trophy there Willie, won't be leaving you anytime soon
It was easy to get carried away with BDM, but all he he has done was beat Karezak over fences, Karezak would finish 2nd if he was racing against a pony he's that type of horse. BDM is a good horse. Just not top table stuff.
No bet on the next, wouldn't be surprised should Don Poli need it like plenty of the stables big guns. Might even get a push out of his Gold Cup price...
Many Clouds for me although it wouldn't at all surprise me if Menorah were to win - this is the sort of race he has mopped up in the past
Wonderful race to watch and you have to give it to Don Poli - resoluteness personified (or horseified)
Yikes! Cooper toiling all the way to the line. Beautiful performance from Don. Never asked for much and just kept finding for every little squeeze.
Saddles gone, 50% fit, spent the race taking the piss and STILL wins cosy. Loved that performance. Well done lads who went in.
Aintree as a track couldn't have suited either, that was my biggest worry before I eventually weighed in.
Have backed Rebeccas Choice up next at Chepstow. 14/1. Won this race last year and a spin over hurdles has hopefully sharpened him up for another tilt.
