Interesting appointment, obviously the link wth the guy that part owns Salford club with them as well. From his analysis on Sky he looks like he should be a good manager
What next? Carra to take over at Madrid because he does a boss job with the computer thingy on MNF? Mad appt, not least because he doesn't speak a word of Spanish ffs.
It's such a weird appointment... Even more so when you consider it's until the end of the season. If you were after a caretaker role (Which is kind of is!) surely you'd go for someone with experience in the Spanish league? Strange but definitely fascinating to see how he gets on!
I wonder what Valencia fans think. They basically hired a player who retired a few years ago who achieved a lot as a player but has never managed before.
I was thinking what our reaction would be if we signed someone that had a career like his and came from foreign TV. Can't imagine we'd be too happy.
