Transfer Rumours Toon-Spurs Swap

I hope there is no truth in this rumour. Word is Newcastle are going to swap Perez for Townsend who are both valued at £12 million.

Townsend is certainly not worth £12m in my opinion and Perez is one of the only pluses for our season so far. If McLaren sells him then stand by for loads of abuse and empty seats.

 

Signing Townnsed is a shocking thing to think of anyway but to swaphim for Perez is ****ing insane! If this deal happens then I will not buy another thing from NUFC or Sports Direct!

 

I would take Townsend but not for perez. £6 million and I would take him!

I think we need a member on the board who has experience in running a premier league club efficiently. Derek Lambias and now Lee Charnley have been a complete car crash and that's because their suitability isn't limited it's because it isn't their at all.

 

I don't know if it is just down to how crap Lee Charnley is, but with hindsight Derek Lambias doesn't seem that bad. I think I'd gladly take him back over Charnley.

 

What makes anyone think that McLaren would sell or swap Perez.
Any decision would be made over his head, same as always, McLaren would get no say in any of it.
He would just have to put up and shut up, same as always.
I don't mind Townsend, but any thought of swapping or selling Perez is just plain daft. Young talent such as him needs to be kept and nurtured. However, if he wanted to leave the circus who could blame him for that.

 

I would give Spurs Sissoko much sooner than Perez and I'd bet my right leg that Moussa considers himself a vastly superior player to Perez.

Hugely overrated. I'd wager there's a handful of better alternatives in the lower leagues.

 

Townsend would be an alright signing, get Austin in too, Enrique or Cole for Left back? CB i don't know... and a powerful Defensive Midfielder... 50mil or so, i must be dreaming.
