Hull City supporter (living in Canada) enquiring about some historical recordings of FA Cup games from the past. Have any of you guys seen film footage of the game mentioned above ? It was played at Stamford Bridge, ended 2-2, and the replay was held 5 days later back in Hull, which you won 3-1 to advance to the semi-final. I attended both games, have you-tube clips of the replay, but have not been able to find any highlight footage of the original game played in London. Any suggestions to where I might find film/tv clips of the first game would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
That's a most unusual request tiger! I was at the game at Stamford Bridge, a 2-2 draw when George Graham and Bobby Tambling scored for us, but couldn't make the replay as work commitments wouldn't allow it. I would be very surprised if any film of this still existed? If I was hunting this down I think the best way to locate it would be to contact Chelsea TV who have a vast library of historical film. Just google their email address .
