Most of those were an accumulation of punches, rather than a single knock out punch, which is what I was meaning.
Klitschkos have both been extremely boring for years, but great fighters with the result being what tends to matter Fury fought an extremely good fight last night, including the psychological build up shenanigans around him not liking a spongy ring (ooer missus) His constant movement nullified K's jab and meant he had no clue where and when to unleash his big right However I can't be doing with the ****ing dressing up and spouting crap nonsense before that. It was like bloody WWF ( or whatever the pretend wrestling is called nowadays) Good luck to him, and he completely deserved the win, but I wish he'd shut the **** up a bit (mind you I might nick his beautifully worded romantic speech 'love you my wife' for future Valentines cards etc!)
Valuev was awful, had to be the easiest title fight for years, well until last night of course. Haye was decent in the lower weight divisions but just not big enough to be a great heavy weight. Certainly a better fighter in his prime than Fury though.
From memory he beat Hammer and Chisora twice - 2 people considered decent 'gatekeeper' type fighters. Chisora went the distance with Vitali and was robbed against Helenius - he didnt land a punch on Fury in two fights. His resume is 10x that of joshuas.
I wasn't suggesting that he's only fought bums, just that his knockout rate is rather flattering due to the amount of them. Joshua has only fought bums, though he's only just starting his career, same as Campbell (who I also hope turns out to be the real deal).
All I say is that Fury must have something ... You don't become world champion if you are poor. Most thought he would lose last night. He didn't lose and never looked like losing. I for one love a winner if he or she is British / English. Always have. Well done Tyson Fury. You are at the top of your sport.
I never though Fury was as poor as other people, but I really thought he'd get beaten last night. His movement and style are very good but I just couldn't see someone with so little power beating Klitscho. I also don't buy into the whole 'Klitscho's always been ****e' malarky. In his prime he would be difficult to face for any HW. True, he isn't a Lennox or Foreman etc, but he's easily in the top 20 HWs of all time, as is his brother. Fury on the other hand was a lot better than even I thought, and has caught Klitscho at the right time. Having said that, I'd now give him a chance against the Klitscho of 5 years ago or more.
Some daft uneducated comments on here! I think fury pulled a masterclass off and made vlad look very poor, just watched the fight back and his game plan was outstanding, constantly moving, switching from orthodox to southpaw, vlad was lost for ideas, fury is one of the most underated boxers out there and he's just proved that to the world hats off to him, beating a unbeaten 11+ year champion is some achievement.... seems a top bloke aswell, the gobbing off is all to get people Interested and it worked As for Joshua I think his fight with whyte will be a massive test and his 1st one at that, whyte is not a fighter to take lightly, I worry Joshua is way to big and stiff, if he faced some like wilder he'd have big problems. Fair play to the heavy weight division at the mo, very exciting
How can you say Joshua is a superior boxer? He was gifted a gold medal despite being schooled in both the semi and final matches. He has never beaten anyone of worth, he looks stiff as board with hardly any technique, and despite being young he's slow as hell. He just looks ripped and Hearn has built him up into a massive PPV star based on nothing. He may eventually become great but right now he is nothing in the sport.
Fury is the classiest world champion, boxing has ever seen, I wish there were more like him. Plus he's a great singer, so much talent, that guy, way more than any of these UFC fighters, never seen any of them do a serenade.
Well done Tyson Fury. About time someone put Klitschko in his place. The time for change was long overdue. Interesting to see that Fury does not have a mark on his face. Hope for a re-match but don't hold your breath. Klitschko could well retire now.
"Jonathan Ross has been on the phone, Pierce Brosnan will be on the phone phone, The Queen will be up with some medals. Where were they three years ago?" Funny as **** in an embarrassing, thick **** of a dad, kind of way. Classless ****s the lot of them.
Finally showing some class. Came home on the ferry via Hull. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Boxe...l-crest-wave/story-28268364-detail/story.html
