Couple of interesting races over in Ireland. I'm looking for a run for my money from SUB LIEUTENANT but I suspect he may end up saving his best for spring and onwards and upwards in trip. 28/1 gives the each way angle in. MONKSLAND has a tilt at Grade 1 glory in the same race and I would love him to land one. Trip is absolutely fine and he jumped quite fast on debut but did chuck in an absolute howler half way around. Hope he doesn't take any chances this time around. He will probably be looking to make hay whilst they have him fit as he has been such a fragile horse.
Im hoping Bachasson shows us what he's made of tomorrow. Apparently he shows little at home so hopefully that's persuaded Ruby. No More Heros to show his class
Can't be arsed doing a write up as I've a feeling Fairyhouse will be off with high winds...If not, the Royal Bond looks rubbish, Mullins running Galway horses FFS! Hattons Grace ain't much better. Only race I'm interested in is the Drinmore and that's being won by the future RSA winner, the absolute beast that is No More Heroes.
Good to hear from you Cats and NMH looks a topper. I also really like Free Expression e/w bet to nowt at 9/2 on him with the 8 runners..he's decent but his jumping needs brushed up...might just keep No More Heroes honest! Also backed Killer Crow at 5/1 in the 3.10
Beefy is there any news on Black Hercules and when we are likely to see him? I half expected seeing him in the Drinmore .............
Bit of a flyer today, Sirabad to get the better of the odds on On Tour. He was disappointing on debut over fences but he is a horse I really like and I expect much better today from him.
Morning all. Good weekend of racing. Fancy four so put them in a Lucky 15... 1:10 Fair - BACHASSON 7/2 2:30 Leic - MALANOS 11/2 2:40 Fair - SHANTOU FLYER 16/1 3:00 Fair - COMBUSTIBLE KATE 9/1 Also betting with my heart possibly but I've had a punt on KANE to score first and Spurs win 3-1 at 75/1. Good luck all!!
Today's trip may catch No More Heroes out and you could argue Monksland has done more over hurdles. I'd side with the latter at the prices. Long Dog should be up to beating Bachasson on softer ground. Arctic Fire should be winning as well and at 4/5 is a lot bigger than I expected.
More important than handling heavy I'd suggest those wagering at Fairyhouse might like to bet on horses who can handle windy conditions. I'm not sure where thats cited in the form book
Also good luck to the forums favourite Corinthian on her point to point debut today. Barney was seen heading south to watch the spectacle
