Squad Rooney, Martial, Herrera, Depay, Mata, Young, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Blind, Lingard, Pereira Shaw (granted he's long term injury), Rojo, Smalling, McNair, Jones (injured quite a lot), Darmian, Valencia, Wilson, De Gea, Romero, Valdes (may have forgotten someone but fck it) Competitions Van Gaal in his second season. Moyes in his first season. Premier League: Currently 28 points (Moyes with comparably inferior squad after same number of games 22 points) Champions League: 2nd but needing a win in the final group game (Moyes with comparably inferior squad was top of the group, already qualified and dazzling Europe) Capital One Cup: Knocked out in the second round by Middlesborough after bore draw and penalties (Moyes with comparably inferior squad got to the semi-finals) Van Gaal now losing the dressing room as players openly speaking to reporters like this: "I am half the player I can be under manager Louis van Gaal because of the way we're playing. I don't feel it's fair on me, I don't feel it's fair for the fans. I can't express myself properly and I find it difficult to play here." I don't condone such actions but it indicates some players at least have lost belief in him. Would Moyes as manager of MUFC conduct himself like this... I'm not for a second advocating a return for Moyes, but simply highlighting that if there is enough of an argument to suggest Moyes would have done better (or at least matched these dire performances we're watching) then how far exactly have we come forward?????
No. The answer is no. Did you see Moyes here or at Sociedad? It wasn't good. Absolutely nothing to suggest he would be doing better. Plenty to suggest he would be doing much worse. Its really simple. What is it on the PL board anyway? So the rivals can support your weird hatred of van Gaal? I fear for you man.
Have you actually read the OP or even the title of this thread? Or does the red mist descend (as always) and blinkers go down... and off you go on another insecure little episode? How exactly does Sociedad's squad compare to ours you imbecile The only "simple" thing is you. Put LVG in charge of Sociedad and watch them get relegated.
Yeh I read it. Concluded the correct response was 'no' and went with it. I'm guessing you didn't see us with Moyes in charge. I suggest you pick up a copy of the seasonal review and settle down for a night of horror. We finished 7th man, Seventh. Moyes took us to 7th. Wellnhe didn't, Giggs saved us from 8th but still, if you think Moyes would have done better (he spent £70million himself...) Then you are to far gone to recover.
Errrrrrrm yeh, once again READ the opening post instead of going off on another episode. Perhaps I should spell it out for you? The OP states where Moyes was at exactly the same point in the season in EACH competition, in his FIRST season compared to Van Gaal's SECOND season. So I don't need to pick up a copy of anything. It's there, a direct comparison above you've conveniently chosen to ignore. I've also stated (and I can't believe I have to point this out to you) that I am talking about THIS squad of players which is clearly an improvement on the one two years ago and indeed on Sociedad So unless you're prepared to back up your argument with reasons, then I will just assume that (as always) you cant actually defend your position with any specifics and you're simply stonewalling.
It makes a more interesting change to the Londonitis on this board. Or the dose of Kanerhia on here. But tbh I really couldn't give a 5hit what you may think. The post by Luv is an inside joke aimed at my fck up
The bit in red, who do we reckon it is? I think it's one of Schneiderlin, Herrera or (controversially as he's only just got here) Martial. Could be Depay but I think he has to take the responsibly for his own dire performances.
Depay imo (Herrera possibly) EDIT: Agree about Depay taking responsibility btw but he's young and dutch so he may be lashing out a bit.
