Jamie Vardy will continue playing on through injury. Matty James is still a few weeks away but everyone else is fit so here is what I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Albrighton Kante Drinkwater Mahrez Ulloa Vardy Subs- Schwarzer, De Laet, King, Inler, Dyer, Schlupp, Okazaki
The way Darmian was knocked off the ball last night, wouldnt be surprised if Jeff Schlupp plays left wing, or gets at least 30 mins against him.
I don't think they'll put Mahrez behind Vardy for this one, not when they have Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger playing deep. This is going to be won and lost on the wings imo. I just hope Man U continue not being able to score for toffee, no doubt this is where there run ends and they actually look like a propper champions league team.
Got to keep the same side, having Ulloa in it gives us a bit of balance, although I could see Ranieri going a bit more conservative and playing Okazaki. However, I fully expect us to be quick out of the blocks. Watched a lot of the Champions League game and Manchester United, as they have been for a lot of this season, looked thoroughly underwhelming. Their side isn't as good as the one that played us last season; ours by contrast is considerably better.
I can see schlupp for ulloa which will give us more pace and their five in midfield against our five with strong energy and pace on the constant attack. Okazaki and dyer after 60 mins will completely nail them for stamina, match to be won in the final 15 minutes of the game.
What a great fact: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...outing-and-an-emphasis-on-youth-a6748591.html
Sure it's only mind games, but LVG thinks it's possible that we "can win the league"... http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/34941612
I can see Claudia starting with Schlupp as well. Think Uniteds defence would be happier playing against Ulloa but Schlupp gives us even more pace if he can just keep his brain in gear when he gets into the final third.
Drinkwater, Simpson, schlupp, Vardy and mahrez all have points to prove through academy drops/trials/transfer rumours. Helps for a good game and performance!
#lcfc XI to face @manutd: Schmeichel; Simpson, Huth, Morgan (c), Fuchs; Mahrez, Kanté, Drinkwater, Albrighton; Okazaki, Vardy. #LeiMnu #lcfc subs to face @manutd: De Laet, King, Schlupp, Ulloa, Dyer, Schwarzer, Inler. #LeiMnu
Seems a bit harsh on Ulloa but can understand Ranieri's reasoning behind playing Okazaki, hopefully he'll score another beautiful goal this week. Glad to see Mahrez out wide (presumably), gutted I can't be there but there'll be a lot of noise in a pub in Sheffield!
Yeah, some sort of thigh injury (as well as the broken wrist.) tbh, I can't remember a game when he wasn't - just seems to shrug them off.
